my boyfriend is self harming due to withdrawals from drugs
Your boyfriend needs help. Can you get him to go to Doctor, or A & E. If he wont go Im not sure where to go from there. I am not aware of your total home situation. He has to want tohelp himself too.. Is his family any help, I think its something you will find dfficlult. Take it one step at a time. What age is he, has he been working or not. its hard to know what to say with so little information.
Take it easy and do the best you can for for you

I am a long-term "self-medicator" or substance abuser. I can certainly relate to the desire to self harm or self destruct when withdrawing. I'm guessing it is as a result to quit? i.e. not because he 'cannot score' or buy drugs.
In my experience, you have to be very lucky to get medical help, no matter how much you want it, if you are aged over twenty five. Therefore (assuming it's a quit attempt) you should really try to support him/don't over-react/try and get him to "open up" about his feelings rather than 'relieve pressure' by self harming.
Incidentally, (after a very long time/years of staying within the law) I have discovered a treatment, which (to me) is categorically medicine to relieve anxiety; "Phenibut" is available online from European online pharmacies or even Amazon - it is very cheap, herbal, and effective in small amounts, it is the reason I can concentrate for long enough to type this. Beware of taking more than 1g of 'Prima Phenibut' as it will possibly knock you asleep for a very long time. Good luck to you both.
