Bad time

So I've had IBS and Migraine for a long time. After a particularly bad Migraine I developed anxiety over them which led to severe insomnia. I couldn't handle it and ended up in hospital as I was suicidal. I was given Zopliclone to help me sleep and prescribed pregablin and venlafaxine for depression and anxiety. I also tried CBT but it didn't help. My IBS and Migraine have gotten worse and I'm now in constant pain. I also have a strange rash that occurs on my shoulder occasionally and sore shoulder and neck muscles. I don't know if the medication has made things worse but I am now at the stage where my marriage has broken down and I am constantly anxious about doing anything social which stops me seeing my children. I have been taking Zopliclone for nearly a year and cannot sleep without it. I'm not sure how much longer I can keep this going. I'm extremely sad and scared. Any advice on these symptoms would be appreciated

Sorry to read what’s happening to you, I have had ibs for over30 years, one of the biggest triggers is stress, have you been told what is causing the migraines? Can you get out for walks in the countryside as it can be a great way to help with the stresses of life, I know it’s hard to go out when we feel at Rock bottom but is does really help. I had to retire from work early at the age of 54 due to stress, my wife was so scared I would go out one day and not come home due to stress at work. My IBS has been the worst it has ever been over the past 5 years, then we got ourselves some bikes, my IBS has improved, I am a diabetic that has improved, I also have angina with high blood pressure they have improved, I am not sure if it’s just getting out in nature of if it’s also the exercise. Maybe if you can find the strength to go out each day and look at nature, breathe in the fresh air, walk and empty your mind and relax you might find it helps with theIBS and migraines. You have taken the first step by asking for help on here so it shows you’re not ready to give up yet. All the best from a fellow sufferer Lewis

IBS is sometimes misdiagnosed when the issue is Diarrhoea and abdominal pain caused by Bile Acid Malabsorption. Are you sometimes constipated or always producing runny faeces? I take Colesevelam for BAD after a Sehcat test - this link explains it: gutscharity.org.uk/advice-a...

As regards the migraine- is it classic aura with headache, nausea, vomiting? I get this and if I take Migraleve pink as soon as the vision issue starts, the migraine doesn't develop.
