Undiagnosed chronic balanitis? Please help....

Hello guys, I am a 24 year old male from Northern Ireland and my penis is very sensitive, even a simple touch is either very sensitive or painfully sensitive. My peehole tip or uretha looks red and swollen a bit, my foreskin is tight but I am managing to stretch it more and more, I am able to stretch it over the head when I'm in a shower so I am able to wash my tip daily.

Foreskin tightness is not my main issue, I did have a frenulum surgery performed years back and plus I have gotten my hands on these rubber circle bands which can help with my foreskin. My main problem is the sensitivity.

I do not know how long I've had this issue, could be a decade because most doctors didn't tell me anything and I have lived a depressing life with no partner. The first GP doctor I visited when I was roughly 18 and he suspected balanitis. I do not remember if I have used or not used the cream that I was given and I was a shy individual at the time. I did return back to GP when I was around 20 and the doctors were immature and unprofessional, they said it looks good. I had my frenulum surgery done when I was 21 and the professional urologist did not tell me I have balanitis, maybe the doctors do not care or I was shy to explain further that its painful to touch. So all this time I thought that it's normal but the more I have talked with other male friends they say it is very unusual for my tip to be so sensitive.

Currently I am trying few natural remedies for balanitis like aloe vera cream and virgin coconut oil and I have plans to visit a GUM clinic, I am very displeased by my local GP. I do not know if my peehole is scarred for life or maybe there's hope. I also fear I could scare away women how my tip looks. So I suspect I either have a weird or rare type of balanitis or the doctors in NHS simply don't give a flying ****.

I don't know if I am able to post images for your own evaluation. Anyway I hope I could get some friendly help. Thank you guys!

I am sorry about your unresolved situation. Complex problems such as yours may benefit from the opinion of a dermatologist. Push for a referral. Good luck. You need this sorted at your young age.

hey Man sorry to hear that you are having trouble down there. You probably should have it checked out with a urologist or dermatologist so I'd ask for a referral tell them how uncomfortable and painful it is. Do you have any scarring or discolouration on your glans or foreskin?

You need to have it sorted it's affecting your life. All the best

hey it certainly sounds like you have an infection so definitely go to GUM clinic or go back to the GP. I know you feel they are not bothered with your symptoms but they are concerning you so keep going till you get answers.

You probably need to have some tests on your urine and a meatus swap done. The glans will be very sensitive if you don't retract the foreskin often enough if you can retract every time you take a pee and make sure to dry off. If the foreskin does not retract easily you will need some steroid cream to help loose it up.

See how it goes with the GUM clinic or GP they will probably start you on some cream or antibiotics if this doesn't help go back as soon as you treatment finishes you may need to see a dermatologist or urologist.

It is perfectly normal to have a really sensitive head if you have not been retracting your foreskin for long, the more it is left exposed the sooner it will calm down

like for example i cannot dry my tip after a shower as told online, what i do is i take a hairdryer and use that

that's normal if you're only just starting to expose the glans
