Shingles strategy

I have been diagnosed. I do not have the rash or blisters (yet) but am on Aciviclir. It came on after intense itching eye due to hay fever. An internal sty formed upper eyelid. Then the face around started to go sensitive and itchy. It has not progressed much after 4 days but understand it may break out into rash soon unless the pills keep it in check. The Dr checked my eye was not affected with some dye and a machine (don't know what that was). She said she thought she could see fient signs of a rash but I can't.

I am seeking advice on managing the blisters if they appear from someone who has experienced them. Many thanks.
