Hello I am 19 years old and I am worried about my resting heart rate which is in the upper 80s to lower 90s when I take it at night Is it possible that my worry is increasing the rate when I take my heart rate? also concerned because it say that I high resting heart rate is linked to heart attack and things of the like if it is increasing, When I was 15 there was a time where I had to take heart rate meds because they were over 130 consistently also I had high blood pressure during that time, its no where near that now but I am still worried that something is wrong, I was at the doctors a month ago and nothing was wrong then.

It does seem rather high for a resting heart rate but you are not tachycardic. Your anxiety may very well be pushing your resting heart rate up. It is never sensible, however, to guess at heart problems and you should seek medical help. Take care.
