Should he continue to take Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill when most of his pain goes away?

Now here is the story, my classmate Bruce suffered from testicular pain for almost 4 years ever since he began his work of taxi driver, he went for a check and the doctor said it was epididymitis and precribed him with some antibiotics. However the symptoms came back again when he stopped the medication. Later he learned a natural therapy of herbal diuretic and anti-inflammatory pills and began to take the medicine. Now it's almost a month, and most of his pain does not exist, he wonders if he should continue to take the rest of the pills or should he stop taking it?
