So I've had this 'hole' in my foot for a year or so? No pain, no issues, just kinda always been there. Cant remember when it cropped up but, its on the heel part of my foot, sorta right before the mid part of the foot.
The picture isnt the best as its after a bath, so the skin looks fluffy and soaked essentially, but is it anything to worry about? Just wondering since I do sometimes cut the deadskin on it off, but around a week or more it's the exact same.
Thanks for any help you can provide

This looks like a Verruca to me. I'm surprised, though, that it isn't painful if that part of your foot is weight-bearing when you stand and walk, so maybe it's something else. If it is a Verruca (ie wart) then cutting the growth away is unlikely to get rid of it as the root is probably deeper in your layers of skin / flesh than you can painlessly gouge! Verruca treatment usually is done by a medic or foot specialist by either burning with a specific ointment or freezing with a specific technique. It can be done at home using an off-the-counter verruca treatment available from most pharmacies, but it often needs repeat treatments. Best to keep it covered in public areas like showers or swimming pools and at home in areas where family members walk barefoot as Verrucas are usually caused by a virus and are contagious.
