It’s been 10 days and I’m pretty happy still. The extreme sensitivity is gone thankfully, so I can touch the head now. Very swollen on the left side the past few days. Underneath is starting to look a bit gross now. Any immediate thoughts? Also I only did a salt bath once and it stung like a bitch so I haven’t tried again since, but do I need to just persevere and do it?

I feel like it looks a lot smaller from it’s been swollen, but I know that’ll pass as before it swole up it looked fine.

Also stitches have got very hard and almost sharp/ pointy? Is that normal?

My stitches can feel pointy and cause all forms of discomfort, I'm presuming it's natural due to you not taking the salt baths so it's kind of just constantly drying out

Haha yeah well since your on day 10 now I suggest taking salt baths and bathing for 10 mins I know you said you tried and it stung but that's natural and getts easier, I may have been that you did the salt bath too early in your recovery, I only did my first salt bath on day 10

I started mine on day seven due to advice on here, it gave a mini sting st first but nothing terrible, but the more I take them the easier it gets and definitely helps massively in terms of loosening stitches etc

Yeah nothing better then finally being able to take a longer bath mate

Exactly bud, I'm normally a guy pre op that takes either one or two long ones a day (not a big shower freak myself) and not being able to take a proper bath like normal until these stitches go away is irritating asf bro

Can you resume normal bath when the stitches fall out do you know? And she doesn't mind it, she understood when I got with her that I had bad phimosis so although she's good in bed hopefully now not having my own problem it can go to the next level you know? Had so much extra foreskin it was ridiculous

Yeah mines the same and if you mean having a normal long bath? Then I'm doing that now but I'm on day 18, as soon as the stitches fall out you can definitely but even if there are a few left in by the time you get to day 16 you should be fine to soak longer in the bath as you want the stitches to come out by week 3 tbh as your skin would have reattached it's self to the shaft by then so the stitches aren't needed

Like just a regular bath sort of thing, without all the salt etc?

Two have come out already, four in total and I'm day nine? Is this normal?

Also looking in the NHS site it says they can start to dissolve and go between week one and two for some and obviously longer for others, but beginning to worry if all mine end up falling off soon ish then maybe it was too quick?

The NHS site isn't that accurate with the recovery for circimcision as everyone's healing is different and happens at different paces, unless thetes bleeding where the stitches fell out on you then your fine mate, your on day 9 so your skin has already attached it's self a bit you'd know if they fell out to early because you'd be bleeding bad and you can take a normal bath now you don't have to use salt , I'd say don't soak for longer then 10 minutes on day 9, now I'm on day 18 and I'm only just having a Normal long bath, you'll see the difference when you get to my stage a lot of healing will happen in the next 9 days bro

Cheers bro! I only looked on there because I didn't know if it was that normal for it to begin this quickly. Surprisingly haven't had I don't think any blood from anywhere since unwrapping the original bandage on day 3.

I currently only salt bath once a day for between 3-5 minutes.

I can't wait to have a normal bath let me tell you aha
