It looks like you may have a tight foreskin which will not retract. This is called phimosis. I’m not medically qualified but it looks like quite a pronounced case which may require medical treatment. It’s not serious but does need to be looked at. I take it you are quite young? In which case you may be embarrassed to see your doctor, but I think you should as there is nothing to feel awkward about. It’s a very common thing amongst teenage boys. Often the remedy proposed will be circumcision - but your doctor will discuss the options with you. Hope this helps.

You seem to be suffering from a severe case of phymosis and most likely will require a circumcision. Get an appointment at your urologist for potential procedures. Not sure about your age but I assume you're under 18 so even if this might seem embarrassing to you, its nothing to worry about your parents are there to help and support you so you don't need to feel embarrassed at all. Talk to your dad first and it should be all good.

Good luck!

I agree with what Cipher wrote: a severe case of phimosis that most likely has to be circumcised. Mine was less severe and I still needed to be circumcised.

I agree with the others here. Looks very tight indeed. However young you are a case that severe is unlikely to resolve itself. If a circumcision is found to be what the urologist suggests you don't need to worry. You're young and will recover well and quickly.

Don't be embarrassed about talking to your parents or seeing a doctor on your own if that's what you'd prefer.

Docs see this day in day out and won't even bat an eyelid.

I agree with the others that you likely have phimosis which simply means muzzled. That equates to a tight foreskin. Does it bother you? If you are sexually active, has it caused any pain or discomfort? These are key questions to determine if a course of action is advisable. Perhaps nothing needs to be done. Surgery is always an option, but it’s at best a tradeoff of a freed glans for a big loss of sensitivity. A second option is to do nothing and just live with the condition. Many men do. The third option is skin expansion, a painless way of preserving all the benefits the foreskin offers. My observation indicates that you are a good candidate for a product called Phimocure. A simple Google search will direct you to their website. Youtube has some videos of how to use the devices. They are skin tunnels simlilar to those used in pierced ear lobes. They’re made of inert materials, are designed specifically for foreskin stretching, and are affordable. Such an understaking, while taking some time, is completely without a recovery period and without the risks of infection and future sensitivity issues about which middle aged circumcised men complain. Given those choices, it should be easy to see which offers the greatest benefit for the long run.

Are you kidding? That poor guy cannot even wash under his foreskin properly and you comes up with a possibility of doing nothing! Come on, yeah we all know by now that you are an anti-circumcision activist but this ain't serious. And about the issue of losing sensitivity in older men: all men have a lost of sensitivity if they get older. That's a fact no matter if they're uncircumcised or circumcised. I know you don't like or believe it but studies have shown that there is no difference in sensitivity between circumcised and uncircumcised men.

Mine seems more erogenous than ever before. Best thing I've ever had done! Now 7 weeks post op.

Same here, bro! I love it too. I am so glad I got rid of that foreskin.

For newly circumcised men, that is often the case because the glans has not yet keritinized. Give it 5-10 years and you’ll realize your loss.

No, why would I kid? The truth is obvious that no intact boys have suffered any problems by inability to retract and wash. The production of smegma keeps the preputial cavity clean.

Your claim of no loss is laughable. Most nerves in the penis are contained in the foreskin, the richest of which are in the frenar band, a part lost in every circumcision.

Your pro-circumcision stance has its roots in your own loss. Many victims of such losses exhibit a need to cause damage to others.

It's absolutely not true that uncircumcised men never suffer problems. A lot of uncircumcised men get balanitis as a result of being unable to wash under their foreskin. And smegma is no soap! It's a stinky secretion.

Most nerves in the foreskin? It's obvious you've never had one. I don't think so! The most sensitive spot is the glans, not the foreskin.

The fact that I am not against circumcision is because I unlike you have known a before and after and I (and so many others like me) know that its now so much better. You on the other hand know nothing out of experience but it's all hearsay!

I’m 16 years old and I am sexually active with my girlfriend. There isn’t any discomfort and I haven’t had a problem with this “phimosis” at any point of my life, I just feel embarsssed about it and I’m scared to ask how she feels about it

timmyboy20 profile image
timmyboy20 in reply to Blueboy123

Ok, but every man should be able to wash under his foreskin. It's quite possible that for the moment you don't experience any problems with your phimosis, but in the long term you could possibly develop balanitis or even worse penis cancer.

Many years ago, the American Cancer Society dispelled the myth of any link between foreskins, smegma and cancer. Cancer of the penis is mostly caused by HPV, acquired from infected partners. Smoking is a secondary cause, coming from handling the penis with a hand contaminated with carcinogenic particles.

Balanitis has two major causes. The first if the use of wide spectrum antibiotics and failure to take prophylactic measures against yeast. The second is the use of soap to clean the preputial cavity. Soaps removes the natural barrier to infection served by natural bacteria which live inside the foreskin.

Your embarrassment is understandable, but it’s probably the case that you’re not the only boybat your school who can’t retract his foreskin. Since it is not preventing sexual activity, it’s not an urgent issue. Consider acquiring the Phimocure product. You would probably need to engage help from your dad presently because of your age.

I said boys, not men. When a boy has not had his foreskin retracted forcefully before it breaks the adhesion to the glans, he is protected from infection. Adult men are exposed to a lot of factors boys don’t encounter, so their risks are in relation to antibiotic useage, exposure to infected partner, or evrn the use of soap. Absent those factors, there really is nothing which puts them at any greater risk than a young boy.

Are you not aware that the Latin definition of smegma is soap? Same with greek, so old civilizations must have seen something you don’t.

Blueboy123 has stated that his foreskin has not caused problems in 16 years, and he is sexually active. If it were a problem to the extent you imply, wouldn’t it have already manifested?

What do you mean it’s obvious I’ve never had a foreskin? Since those boys born without foreskins (aposthia) are extremely rare, it’s safe to say all boys are born with foreskins. That foreskins are laden with a greater number of nerves than the glans, and that the frenar band is the most sensitive part of the penis are facts establish by science as well as anecdotally. Your personal opinion is not universally expressed by intact men, nor by those who had fully functional foreskins removed. Your opinion aligns only with those suffering pathological problems which circumcision removed. Unfortunately, your failure to enjoy a fully functional foreskin prevents you from fairly evaluating the benefits of a foreskin.

My experience is far greater than your singular experience. Over a period of more than 30 years, I’ve interviewed and counseled hundreds of men, both intact and circumcised, neonatally, during teen years, and as adults. The balance tills quite dramatically in favor of great value in the intact penis.

That you are happy with your outcome is wonderful. I’m glad your decision worked for you, but please, don’t project your opinion of one on others looking for honest answers. You do understand that circumcision is not universally accepted, don’t you? Intact men in the world outnumber circumcised men by more than 2:1. If it were such an improvement to cut off the foreskin, why would an overwhelming majority (98%+) of intact men reject it? BTW, a great number of them have unretractile foreskins and never suffer ill effects.

Other than the opening of your foreskin needs some simple stretching exercises to permit normal retraction ... your penis looks perfectly normal ... in fact you are in far better shape than those few men who have amputated their foreskin, because you retain the most sensitive tissue on the human body ... Taylor's Ridged Bands ... while their ridged bands were snipped off with a pair of scissors and tossed in the trash...!

As for stretching, here's a link showing one simple exercise (see below). Later, when you can get two fingers inside, just pull in opposite directions, and hold the stretch for up to five minutes... and repeat at least once every day.

Circumcision "ain't" bad at all? Damn, boy, evudebtkt you have been drinking the cool-aid.

jimfromcalif profile image
jimfromcalif in reply to timmyboy20

Not that bad? Get real. Even the highly revered Jewish Rabbi Maimonides wrote that the amputation was done to weaken the penis. Tens of thousands of men have experienced positive changes in sensitivity after restoration, allowing them once again to have the ability to experience orgasm.

You seem to be hung up with the idea that being against unnecessary circumcision is a bad thing, when in fact it’s simply a support for the natural state. Introspection would reveal to that you are pro-circumcision, an insult to mother nature.

If you moisturize your penis daily, you keep it sensitive. I am doing this and I'm very sensitive.

Are you really saying that circumcised men can't get an orgasm? Come on!
