Unable to pull foreskin back

Hi. I'm 14 and my foreskin barely pulls back. I can pull it further back when soft but when erect it doesn't go that far. Was wondering if this is normal or not. I'm a little afraid to tell my mum, it'll be akward as hell. Thanks

I had a similar problem. Your foreskin should be loose enough that you can pull it back soft or erect. Mine would pull back soft but when I was hard it was impossible. I ended up getting circumcised at age 18. 10 days ago actually lol I’d recommend going to see your doctor and tell them about your situation and see what they’re willing to do. Hope this helps! If you have any questions don’t be afraid to message me:)

Hii help me from that situation...

Do you feel pain when trying to pill back or is it just hard? If you can pill back when flaccid with ease you might not need a circumcision. You can try stretching your skin in warm baths slowly and never to the extent where it causes pain. It might not work and you might need a circumcision but it's too soon to tell.

It doesn't hurt no

Forget you ever heard the word circumcision. At 14, you are quite normal. Between when you hit puberty and about 18, your foreskin opening grows and permits greater range of retraction. At your present age, there is nothing to worry about. You can do some simple exercises daily which will help the opening to grow. While it's soft, try to get two fingers into the opening and pull it apart gently. If two won't fit, grasp the lips of the foreskin on either side and gently pull apart. In either case, hold for about five minutes and do that four times per day, spaced evenly throughout the day. In a few days of doing that, you should notice the skin beginning to relax. This is a good sign. Continue each day and don't miss your appointments to do the exercises. In addition, practice retraction each time you pee. This will also help the opening to grow. If you have any questions, ask away.

Thanks for the tips. Will definitely try this. If it doesn't seem to stretch any more after doing this for a couple months, should I see a doctor or just keep doing it??

If there is no skin infection, it will work. Skin is programmed like that. It’s how fat people get big bellies.

Be very careful if you gonna stretch your foreskin, because if it gets cracked your foreskin will become even tighter. I had it too but got circumcised and I'm glad I did it. And don't listen to those anti-circumcision people who try to scare you off.

If I do get circumsized, does it just look like my penis has the skin back permanently??

Yes, that's how it looks. I find it looks much better with the head always uncovered. I am very happy I got circumcised.

Providing it not causing you pain and you can clean the area why not wait until you are a bit older ? Personally I would look on circumcision as a last resort. But, if it is painful do not be afraid to discus it and see a Doctor.

It is not necessary to tell your parents. Actually, it is better if you don’t. They might take you to get circumcised, which is the last thing you want.

Do not worry. You are normal for your age. Your foreskin is still developing. You don’t have phimosis. You have a normal, non-retractable foreskin due to your youth.

You are blessed with a protective, highly-innervated, erogenous full-length foreskin. Many unforeskinned guys would envy your foreskin. You display great wisdom in wanting to avoid circumcision.

You should thank your parents for protecting your physical integrity. Because of your physical integrity you will be able to have sex the way nature intended it.

Do not be misled by those who want you to have part of your penis cut off.

Every male starts life with a tight, non-retractable foreskin. Some get looser automatically and some need a little help.

The foreskin is supposed to be tight and non-retractable in childhood so that it provides protection, but it is supposed to retract and glide back and forth in adulthood. Teens are in transition between childhood and adulthood so frequently the foreskin is still non-retractable.

It is not necessary to have a foreskin that will retract. Some men live their entire lives with a non-retractable foreskin. They can masturbate, have penetrative sex, get married, and father children with a foreskin that does not retract.

You may clean non-retractile foreskin with a rubber-bulb ear syringe. Just fill the syringe with lukewarm water and squirt it into the foreskin.

It is easy to make your foreskin wider and looser by manual stretching.

Almost all boys are born with a foreskin that does not retract. This is normal. It takes years for the ability to retract to develop. About ½ of boys have a retractable foreskin by 10.4 years of age. Many adolescents still have foreskins that have tips that are too narrow to pass back over the penis head. These foreskins may be gently stretched over a period of time to cause them to widen. In most cases, the foreskin becomes retractable by age eighteen.

When your penis is erect, gently pull your foreskin back against the head of the penis. As the head attempts to pass through the foreskin it will stretch the skin a little. Do this several times every day and in a few weeks or months your foreskin will widen and you will be able to retract your foreskin. Do NOT force retraction. Do NOT cause yourself pain.

It works by tissue expansion. Stretching skin induces “mitosis” which is a word that means “division of cells”. New skin cells are formed and the skin expands but it takes some time. The increase in size is permanent. Be patient and give mitosis time to work.

The important thing is to put the skin under tension several times every day so that it will grow wider.

Betamethasone valerate ointment, which is available by prescription may help, but it won’t work by itself. Manual stretching is still required.

There are some who would want you to be circumcised. Circumcision is a horrible, mutilating, destructive, harmful operation, that takes off the best part of the penis. It should be considered a last resort after conservative treatment fails. One may prefer to remain as one is rather than undergo circumcision
