I had a circumsision on the 1st of may due to phimosis, I had a wound infection which thankfully is starting to heal now however the head of my penis is still very sensitive. I just want to know if it’s normal or not, it’s slightly painful to touch and I’m nowhere near being able to masturbate like I’ve seen other people say
thanks

you are only a small way through your healing process. If you have had an infection that is likely to lengthen the recovery time. Sensitivity is normal at this stage.
Sorry to hear about the infection, but pleased to hear it's all clearing up. You're still very early on in the healing process, and you shouldn't really be masturbating until at least 6-8 weeks in (I held off until weeks 8 and 9, now at 10 weeks). Sensitivity is to be expected, you'll hopefully find it will decrease significantly over the coming weeks. At around week 6 I was still quite sensitive, but have been back in underwear with no real sensitivity since around week 7 and far more comfortable at week 10. You got this, it takes time. We're all here to keep you going.
I appreciate the kind words my friend! It feels really comforting knowing that other people are going through the same thing. Thank you for the reply 🤝
Like the other two replies, I would say the same. You're very early in the healing process and even if it starts to look better on the outside, there is still recovery to be done inside. Having the infection has probably slowed things slightly. It pays to wait as long as possible to masturbate, difficult though that is. I waited till 8 weeks and even then it was a bit uncomfortable. The head of your penis might be sensitive for a while yet, just try and get used to it
Everyone heals at a different rate, so maybe just do what feels right for you.
