Circumsision after your 30s

Here’s the reality getting circumsized later in life does have the ability to cause issues. They can tell you they just worked on the skin etc but the trauma can create problems. Obviously they arent cutting off size to your penis but there can be some significant size changes as well. It could be from the trauma causing contracted smooth muscle tissue, not leaving enough skin, cutting penile skin instead of only foreskin, ED issues ,etc variety of issues. Is being cut easier to clean , yes in my opinion. But if I were to do it again I prob would have not done it. Doctors often advise it right away to certain problems as it’s a relatively easy way to generate income.

I agree with you 100%… everything takes much longer to heal

And some things never fully heal or create other issues

Hi, I was told by GP that if the foreskin is free over bellend then it’s best to leave alone. I’m 42 and I’ll be honest it’s never been a problem during sex or masterbation I did go 3 times over the years about it but if 3 different Docs are saying roughly the same I’ve left it. I kinda love it like it now anyway !

I will just add to my reply earlier, I can’t retract foreskin over Bellend , should have made that clear! There is a lot of give on the foreskin and cock and as I said it’s never been a problem although I have tried over the years at the GP’s to sort it.

If you can't retract your foreskin, you should see a doctor about it right away. This is not normal and could lead to complications.

Had my op when I was 31 Mar this year, I am 32 it's been about 5 months since and all is healing slowly. Still a slight delay when I urinate, skin around cut Is still visibly swollen, I think excess skin or lymph modes trying to re-establish. My erections are normal. There are physical side effects for sure, but didn't regret it, had to get it done.

I've just recently had a circumsion 2 weeks ago at the age of 31. My stitches are still very much there and no signs of dissolving just yet but happy to give it more time.I had to go onto antibiotics as there was a slight infection which was causing where the stitches were to be painful and inflamed but good news is its going down and getting better on a daily basis.

I've noticed I'm about 2 inches smaller when getting an erection which is quite worrying but I've read online I need to give more recovery time as the skins still quite tight at the moment. So hopefully it goes back to how it was pre op as I was quite happy with the size. So fingers crossed.

Been advised not to masturbate or have sex for 6 weeks since the op. But do you think I should wait longer for the scar to heal more or do you think it will be alright at the 6 week mark?
