Post Circumcision Problems

Hi there,

I had a circumcision surgery on the 17th of January. And have had some complications regarding the whole process. The wound and incision areas have all healed and have begun to look a lot better than recent.

But the problem I’ve been having now is that my penis head almost likes to bury itself, to the point where my head is the only part showing, and when I try bring the head out and expose the shaft, there is major swelling along the shaft. And it frequently bleeds if I do this.. or if I have any nocturnal erections.

I have been to a GP recently and he pretty much said that the area the blood is coming from looks to be stitched well, and there is nothing he can do and I just need to ‘ride it out’. I feel like this is normal.. and the amount of blood coming from the wound does not sound normal. Any advice? I’m lowkey freaking out. I have an appointment with the surgeon at the 4 week mark.. but that’s a way off.

Can you ask your GP to fast track your appointment with the surgeon?Sometimes you need to be demanding with the medicos to get stuff done. You cannot wait four weeks!

Can you channel that "freaking out" into a firm polite request for fast action? Would it help to bring a "bolshy" support person from your circle of friends/family?

if you have swelling this may be putting strain on the sutures which can lead to bleeding at this time. Do you need to be frequently doing what is causing the bleeding?
