I am 29, and had circumcision surgery 1 week ago. I have been super sensitive down there but what bothers me a lot is the stitches. They are black and on the one side they feel very tight and some stitches are sticking out and it feels like they are stabbing me. Overall very uncomfortable and painful, not sure if that is normal?
also my penis now feels like it always has pressure on and that also bothers me a lot?

Sorry to hear that Mate. Do you think you should go back to the surgeon or at least the GP?I imagine stitching a part of the body that inflates with blood and changes size is difficult. Maybe the stitches have worked loose. They should not be stabbing you as they are meant to promote healing.
You could the surgeon/GP about the pressure issue too. Swelling/bruising does occur post surgery and can last a week or so - sometimes longer.
The biggies are painful swelling, bleeding and bad odour from the wound: they really require immediate medical assistance.
I have the same exact situation I had mine done 6 days ago can’t wait till the stitches come off
the stitches will harden before they fall out/ off.. so you are nearly there. yes it feels a bit like a crown of thorns.
if there are one or two particularly bothering you, you could gently move them to see if they are ready to come off.. but the minute you get resistance stop.
the suture material actually in the skin will become soft and soggy..but the material exposed to teh air will oxidise and become rigid.
Perfectly normal, albeit annoying and uncomfortable!
Thank you - yes now i have recovered i still have sensitivity tho, especially sex feels so different and somewhat uncomfortable and I am always sceptical in putting pressure. Hope will be better in the next months
Hi Mate. Everyone is different, but stitches can be 'picky' and itch. As long as there's no painful discharge or smell and you don't feel unwell then there isn't an infection. I bathed it in salt water daily. You can also apply vaseline to help with any sensitivity
hello mate, good. Still sensitive and sex feels different and somewhat uncomfortable currently, but i guess once i get used to it more i will enjoy it more too. But still have some sensitivity in the area and generally I feel it different
