Hello everyone, on the 7th day after my op, my night erections popped many of the stitches. Now it is the 9th day and all stitches have burst except for the one at the frenulum.
This leaves quite a visible gap in the wound, which is filled with yellowish discharge. My doctor said it is fine and will heal itself over time.
Anyone experienced a similar issue and how long does it take to recover/gap the wound?
Thank you so much for your reply. Can you advise on
1. Should I keep the wound open or covered for now?
2. Should I take salt water baths?
3. Is there an estimated timeline for this recovery? I just want to know when yellow discharge will stop oozing so it is more convenient for me to return to normal activities.
Hey, going through something similar, what did you do about it? And by when did the yellow fluid stop oozing out?
The yellow fluid is just your body healing it’s lymph fluid as long as it’s not thick and smelly you should be fine. I would do warm Epson salt soaks three times a day for the next week and apply a thin layer of bacitracin on the wound to keep out infection and that should help with healing as well.
Hello. Ive had the exact same issue as you. I had my op back in October and still it had not healed. I'm 18, and the opening is still very visible and the wound has not dried up due to the lymph fluid. Again like yourself the doctors said there was no problem it would heal it's self. How has yours healed ? Have you got any advice ?
Yes I having this happen to me currently and the doctor told me the same thing but today on the gap part there was a light green discharge come out today my follow up appointment is tomorrow but when my some of stitches came out on the back part he said it was because of a blood clot and said that was normal it's healing slowly but it doesn't look normal at all on the back part of it were the gap is how long did it take yours to heal
