Hydrocortisone usage.

hi, I’ve had balanitis and was prescribed a hydrocortisone. Since then it has come back and I’ve used the cream twice when it came back.

Last time was two weeks ago and the balanitis is back. How often can I use the cream? Concerned about warnings of thinning skin.

I’m due to go away on Saturday so can’t visit docs so wondering if I’d be okay to use cream again.

Appreciate any advice.

When I had it I used derma v10 cream. Available online. A lot less severe.

Hydrocortisone usage can actually lead to balanitis. You need Clortrimazole to kill the yeast.

I have not seen a doctor for Dx but I'm pretty sure I have Balanitis. I have used Lotrimin 1% Clotrimazole 2x w/o any beneficial effect that I can see. I tried an antibacterial for awhile w/ similar non-results. I want a treatment to get rid of it, not just something soothing. Any suggestions?

Steroids actually invite yeast infections. Use Clotrimazole instead.
