Urethra infection/damage

Hi all, been dealing with some sort of infection, I think, im really not sure what it is.

It all started when I had unprotected sex, around december 2019 this was, I woke up the morning after with a swollen and puffy urethra, clear sticky discharge and overall it feeling uncomfortable. I was convinced it was an STD so i went straight to the clinic to get tested, the first test came back negative, so i went again, about a month later, negative again and about a month after that I went again, negative again, so I called my GP, i told them my situation and they said it could be an allergic reaction, to which i knew it wasn’t, no change in soaps, washing powder etc etc and then i started being careful in the shower with what soap did touch it, i made sure to avoid it and clean with E45 cream, still no change, i’ve seen the GP so many times (5+ appointments) and i’ve had urine tests for UTI’s that came back negative, I’ve had medication for chlamydia, for NSU, for balanitis and even for prostate infections, it’s been 8 months and my symptoms haven’t budged at all, i’ve had chlamydia before a few years ago and the symptoms are comparable to that but like i said i’ve tested negative for everything, I was wondering, by any chance, anybody had any similar problems or knows what I can suggest to the GP, as they are confused also, any help would be appreciated

I think that your GP should consider referring you to an urologist to get this sorted.

I have an appointment on the way, problem is, im not sure when the appointment will be, seen some people getting appointment letters for september 2021, that’s my only worry

You could ask your GP for a referral and see a urologist privately on a pay as you go basis, it could cost a few hundred pounds each visit but you might be seen sooner.

If your issue is getting you too worried and affecting your life or is very uncomfortable then you can ask your GP to mark the referral as urgent. The other option would be for a referral that does not specify the hospital and you can then, through choose and book, choose a hospital that can see you quickly - I have on occasion got treatment the next week at a private hospital doing work for the NHS. Alternatively you can contact whichever hospital you have been referred to and tell them that you will be happy to take a cancellation. Hope this helps.

Have you tried drinking lots of water over a couple of days to make you pee alot. Just to help give things a good flush out.?
