Post circumcision healing (week 1)

Hello everyone,

I’m glad I stumbled upon this forum and it has helped me a lot in putting my mind at ease.

Just wanted to share my progress and hoping people who went through it or are going through the healing process can point out if anything looks out of ordinary:

1. I had Balanitis and the surgery was extremely painful for me despite the local anaesthetic. I could still feel a lot of things that were happening. I had the stapler Circumcision done.

2. Have been dealing with mild but lasting pain for the entire week (painkillers helped get through it). At the end of week 1, pain has significantly reduced.

3. Around 15-20% of the soft plastic ring has come out but it’s sticking to the bottom of the head now.

4. The skin around the incision site is quite swelled up like a donut.

5. I had a frenulum bleed which stopped but there’s a lump of blood all clotted around my frenulum that I’m too scared to remove in case it messes with the stitches.

6. I’ve taken no chance with erections and am getting better at quickly putting them off by just focusing elsewhere as soon as they occur.

Just want to know if anything looks off and by when can I expect to have the plastic ring completely off? Also, by when can I at least afford an erection.

I also feel a little cheated by how casual this process has been showcased as at most internet forums and even by the doctors. It’s been agonising for me. I miss riding my motorbike.

Informative and helpful insight there. What is the 'plastic ring' you mention ?

Is it typical of the type of surgery you had.

Sorry, I meant the silicon ring that is attached in the ZSR stapler circumcision.

Its been 1 week now after my circumcision and I'm experiencing exactly the same you have mentioned point by point. Did u have any swellings in ur frenulum? How are you now?

Hey brother,How is the recovery going? I am almost certain I will get the procedure done due to balanitis as well. Did it clear up the balanitis? An update will be greatly appreciated brother. Best wishes to you during your recovery.
