Guys, I'm 7 days post op and it's been a rough ride so far, starting to feel this was a mistake! I'm really sensitive down there without it bandaged up. There is an awful smell coming from the wound even thought I'm washing down there. It's ballooned up on one side, and on the other side of the incision there's like a green yellow gunk caked into the stitches. My doctor doesn't think its infected but has given antibiotics just incase. I've also lost the sensation of peeing, don't know if anyone else experienced this? I'm just praying for improvement in the coming weeks!

one week in from circumcision
it’s normal I think to feel slightly anxious ..was it done for medical reasons? The swelling is normal and I’ve also got white stuff in the stitches. It’s not the best looking 🫣.. patience though it will work out. As for feeling peeing maybe swelling another week makes all the difference.
I had phimosis my whole life (41 years old) it’s just freaking me out looking at a completely different penis from birth!
It’s normal but remember it doesn’t look that great right now its not end result , think of the benefits no more phimosis.. I’m already wearing undies again and no tightness or itching. It will become your new normal patience is the key.
It's not unusual for things to look grim after a week, but the good news is that everything usually looks and feels a lot better after 4-6 weeks.
There are some other posts from people in your position eg:

Why did you get circumcised, and where did you have it done? Do you know what kind of circumcision you had?
don’t worry buddy - it gets better! I was done 9 months ago because of phimosis and Balanitis. Spent ages terrified of it and avoiding it… now realise should have had the balls to do it 20 years+ earlier!!
I’d keep getting opinion with the smell though - infection is best to avoid!
The first few weeks are tough… but it gets gently better each day / week until around around 21 days when most is OK again. Night time boners were for me without a doubt the hardest stage - around night 5-10.
Each week / month that passes it’ll look better and feel better. I didn’t dislike how mine looked before or think I had any problems with its appearance. But now it’s done I absolutely love how it looks!
Hang on in there buddy - it’ll be fine! And you’ll love it in the coming weeks and months!
I would advise tight underwear to reduce movement and thus pain. Short soaks in warm salt water should keep it clean.
i was 43 and had it done October last year. Was crapping myself. Had it done and I was thinking after the same as you. Have I done the wrong thing. It looked hideous. Hurts, sensitive, blood went through all sorts of emotions. Wind forward. Best thing I’ve ever done!!! Stick with it it’s brilliant. I read all the posts saying it will be fine and it’s normal and I was thinking nine was different and I had infection smell and looked it. Trust me it will be the best thing you’ve done. They say two weeks. Mine was more like 5. But genuinely, stick with it, not like you have a choice now and all will be fine
Hi buddy. I wouldn't worry. I'm now 6 days post OP too and also feeling terrible so you're not alone. Also had the yellow gunk and got put on antibiotics just in case too. Swelling is still terrible, looks like an inflated rubber ring around the head. So sore, tip inflamed from rubbing. Went to Docs and they said swelling and pain all normal for a procedure like this. Friends who've had it done said it took weeks for them to feel better too.
Have been taking 2x500mg paracetamol every 4-6 hours during the day time and then 2x500mg cocodamol (make sure never to go over 4000mg of paracetamol within a 24hour period) before I sleep, and found that really helps with the pain when sleeping.
Doesn't help the anxiety, can't stop googling whether this or that is normal, convinced mine will be different to other people's etc! But it's done now and just have to ride it out.
You're not alone bud! Hoping for a quick recovery for us both!
10 days in I’m glad to say the smell isn’t so bad now, must’ve been helped by the antibiotics. Penis still looks like an absolute horror tho. Wishing you a speedy recovery too mate!
great I used some antiseptic liquid my doc gave me for nights. I had slight odour also now gone, as for aesthetics looks like our surgeons took to it with a hammer lol 😱. But each day I see it better.. hit day 14 today .
I’m booked in for a frenuloplasty in the hope I can cure my (relatively mild) phimosis without losing the foreskin but honestly, it’s just a cop out because of the pure fear of the circ and I’m almost sure it won’t help. The sensitivity I have when exposed now is absolutely electrifying (in a bad way) and I can’t bear the thought of that for a prolonged period of time BUT man I wish I had your nerve. I’m sure it’ll be, like others have said, the best thing you could do and I’m envious of your courage!
Personally, I'd want to lose as little tissue as possible down there, so a frenuloplasty sounds like the right choice to me (though it isn't always an option). There are plenty of men who are thrilled with their circumcision, but there are also lots of men circumcised as adults who are very unhappy with the results.
When you say tissue? What do you mean?. Curious. Seems inevitable we will all have some scarring?. There is a bit on my left side I’m not thrilled about war wound scar , Revision has crossed my mind but its early days 5 weeks so ill wait 6months at least. Always a plastic surgeon can tidy things up I’m sure.
I just meant, that I'd want as little as possible to be cut off, so that I'd keep as much as possible of what was there. I'd definitely want to keep my frenulum, as there's a lot of pleasurable sensation there.
If it's only been 5 weeks for you, then it's definitely still early days. In your position, I'd only want to consider revision if I was really unhappy with the results. All dicks are different anyway, and it would take something really unsightly before I'd want to have more surgery.
that’s true no nothing unsightly , I think more than anything when I think about it just getting used to new one . I also noticed frenulim lump where stitch was has gone way down .
Have you had it yet, and if so, how did it go?
Apologies for the late reply - no I’ve not had it. For once, this isn’t because I backed out - the anesthetist decided against the op because of a condition I have that can complicate recovery. They should have already known this and planned accordingly but did not - scheduled for October now
I hope the frenuloplasty works for you bud 🙏
I had a rough 2/3 weeks. Stitches burst day 3, re stitched then burst again. After 3 weeks it all settled down and so much better. Hang in there it’s worth it
