22 here, my penis gets red and itches near the tip occasionally. Inside my foreskin and on the head. I have a slightly tight foreskin also, which is phimosis… but I’m not sure if this is causing it. I notice that when I pee or when I ejaculate, it gets itchy like this for no real reason. [e-mail]

Sounds like you have an infection on your foreskin or glans. Are you able to retract it to clean yourself properly?

Best to speak to your doctor about this. It won’t go away on its own.

Yes, I am able to pull my foreskin back gently

That’s good. You could try some anti fungal cream I suppose. But if that doesn’t work ➡️ Doctor.

Best go and get it checked out. There are creams from your GP which will help. I didn't do anything for years and ended up with a circumcision as the only option

I also get this. I'm diabetic and because of my blood sugars you can get thrush. I'm prescribed Daktacort cream. A few days of using this and it's all clear

Try treating it with Clotrimazole. It sounds likeva yeast infection. It can be acquired by using soap to wash the foreskin. Using antibiotics can also causevit.

Your suggestion is correct and hopefully it will work or it’s time to go for a visit to a Urologist. It’s good to get a full exam and to have a specialist that you’re comfortable with.

Some good advice, sounds like Thrush, and I would get it checked, I ended up with a circumcision which has sorted for good! Although I miss my foreskin I do not miss getting thrush as a result of sugar rich urine.

So 22Maxj, you have received several diagnoses of your problem that could be treated with either home remedies or with prescription meds (prescribed for the correct problem or for possibly foot fungus) and generally told to visit a physician. 22Maxj, your penis is your only one. You have two kidneys, two lungs, two arms, but only one penis. Mess it up and you can't switch to its back-up and a new one won't grow back. You are wasting precious time. Find the cause of the problem, get it treated, and start worrying about something else - like world peace.
