I’m 18 and my foreskin is really tight and dry and I can not retract it I can barely just expose the tip of the head and to make it worse where the pee hole is it’s swelled up and it’s been like that for a couple years I tried to talk to a doctor about it and they gave fungal cream but it was really awkward so when it failed to work I told him it started to work.

Also I forgot to mention as well as the foreskin being generally tight and longer than my penis by at least an inch when flaccid it seems that the foreskin itself is attached to the head as the foreskin isn’t a perfect round opening it’s got a bigger chunk of skin and I can see that it connects to the penis head

I think you got phimosis and adhesion. You need a circumcision. Go to general surgeon or urosurgeon.

It does indeed sound like you have phimosis from your description. It is important that you can retract your foreskin when cleaning your penis so as to prevent the build up of smegma. You should start by seeing your regular doctor about this. Circumcision is one option. It is a surgical procedure any every form of medical intervention has a degree of risks.

Have a look on the NHS website about the condition. The British Association of Urological Surgeons also has a good patient information section on its website and I would advise you to read that too.

So, in summary, you may need a circumcision, but evaluate all other options as well. There are risks and benefits associated with every decision we make about our bodies.

All if what seven said above, plus ... I suffered the same as you and my skin bridges ( adhesions) were quite bad and maybe left it late in seeking help so I had no option but circumcision. There are a few steroid creams that could help before that so see your GP

Don’t do circumcision, try the cream and do careful stretching exercises after warm shower for about at least 15 minutes.

You can look at a website called “Novaglan” they specialize in foreskin related issues, it can weeks, it can take month or a bit more but it does work.

You will lose about 90% of your sensations and the recovery of circumcision seems to take longer than two months at least for me

The challenge with writing a question like yours is that you will get all sorts of advice that come from people with different viewpoints on circumcision, where there motivation isn't to always provide you with best quality advice. For my part I would go seek a doctor you can trust and talk through your issue. I promise you they will have heard and seen it before and will try to minimise any embarrassment you might have. Make a list of questions and concerns. You will have a range of options available but some may not work immediately or at all. Believe me this may be uncomfortable now but it will improve if you get over the embarrassment!

I have a theory that one reason we boys and men play so much with our penises is that the foreskin needs to be exercised and stretched regularly. I remember pulling back my foreskin when I was about 8 years old and never stopped thereafter - every other day or so to masturbate and daily to allow me to aim my pee better into the toilet pan. My son at around the same age, wothout any instruction from me, proudly showed us how he'd discovered his foreskin had become moveable and he loved being able to pull it back to expose the glans. It therefore surprises me when I hear or read of a man not doing this and presumably not cleaning under the foreskin and so letting the foreskin tighten. Adhesions can be very painful, so it's not surprising that, once they have formed, this back and forth gliding most of us do every few days is neither easy or pleasurable. However, with creams on prescription and other easily purchased products like coconut oil it should be possible to gradually stretch enough to be easily moved, comfortable and pleasurable.

Best thing to do is speak with your doctor! Don't be embarrassed, they see these issues see all the time! Just dont think about it, explain exactly what the situation is, the doctor will examine you and make some suggestions! It sounds like it is not functioning properly at all, the skin should come back easily!! You will feel much better once you get it sorted out! I had similar issues and got circumcised to resolve the problem. Just go have a chat! I went for a checkup the other day and had two nurses examining me, one telling the other student nurse how to check my balls for lumps! That was embarrassing but I just smiled! So don't be worrying and go make that appointment!

It certainly sounds as if you are suffering from phimosis and possibly adhesions or even a frenlum breve (short and tight frenulum).

If in the UK you may be able to get these problems sorted by the NHS, but be prepared for a wait of a year or more (especially because of the backlog created by Covid). However, you can get seen almost immediately and have it all sorted in less than a month if you are prepared to go to one of the many private specialist circumcision clinics around the country.

They will soon tell you if the problem can be solved without a circumcision, but that is usually what is required for phimosis, particularly if accompanied by other problems such as adhesions or frenulum breve.

If you need details of possible doctors/clinics then drop a line to info@circumcisionhelpdesk.org saying where you live anf they can send you relevant partsof their listing.

If it is curable without circumcision then go for it, but often there will be pain even if you would have the Sensention , the pain will reduce your pleasure. Don't be afraid of circumcision, it is a permanent solution. Of course there will be reduction in sensation but still without pain the experience will be far great. But still it's your body you have to choose. All the best.

Hello, I was circumcised as an adult. I'm definitely glad I did it. You have phimosis. The skin should pull back to expose the entire head by 18.
