I stumbled in to this website and have spent the last week reading a ton of posted information. I choose to have a circumcision due to 2 years of reoccurring rash on the head if my penis along with inflamed fore skin. I never had a tight foreskin or erection issues. Sexual activity made the rash worse along with the inflamed foreskin. My dermatologist did a biopsy of the rash and it came back as unspecified dermatitis.
After 2 years of no cure, I was referred to a urologist. They recommend a circumcision although I was circumcised as a baby. They thought the inflamed foreskin was causing the irritation on the head if my penis.
I opted for the procedure with the hopes it would resolve my issues. I'm not convinced it has.
As numerous other people have mentioned, my erections are noticibly smaller. I'm concerned that to much foreskin was removed. I do get some discomfort when I have an erection due to the tightness. I have been trying to stretch it but I think I over did it as I now have alot of discomfort around the scar.
How many months after the surgery did others regain their erection length and when did the scar stop being so sensitive?
Thank you all in advance

Most guys say the scar is one of the most sensitive bits, it's where all the nerve endings are now. There are steroid cremes for stretching skin containing betamethasone 0.05%
I am now 7 weeks post Op. I finally had sex this past weekend and it was not pleasant. My incision scar got a little inflamed and in one area looked like I had a blood blister. 48 hours later the purple color went away however there was still some redness. Went back to see my surgeon and was instructed to use a silicone based lube. Expressed concerns over my erection size and the issue that I can't get a full erection without discomfort due to the skin pulling on the underside of my penis. Was told that I need to work it, like any other muscle, if you don't use it all the time it will get smaller. Was prescribed Viagra to help get full erections and force the skin to stretch. Told me to use them 3 times a week. Not sure that is possible with 3 kids.
