I had circumcision 2 days ago on Friday.

I can't wear underwear at all because it really hurts. Does anyone have any tips for this?

Is it the cut that hurts of the glans sensitivity? If the glans, I find that vaseline is really good for reducing the pain when it rubs on clothes

I think it's both the cut that hurts and the glans because it's super sensitive. I have to go to the doctor tomorrow to change my gauze and I don't know how I'm gonna make it I can't wear anything

First 3-4 days we’re torture for me, but it quite quickly becomes less painful after the first few days so don’t worry. I’m on day 11 now and can wear clothes and walk around without much discomfort whereas on the first few days I couldn’t even wear boxers.. it does get better. I took my bandage off after 24 hours of the op, I would really recommend applying Vaseline to the glans it helped me so much and still does now

It's only been 2 days bro. I was like that for 10 days. I am now almost 3 weeks post op and sensitivity is still there but it's bearable. It really gets better with time. First few days try to be naked as much as you can. Let the air do its thing. Tight underwear felt better for me. Learn to ground yourself with deep breathing when the sensitivity is really bad. The cut will hurt for a couple of days but it will get better

Did you get any discharge of any kind? Tight underwear was also way better for me even tho it was sensitive, it didn’t move as much so there wasn’t as many sharp pains

No, no discharge. However for the first 2 weeks frenulum area will have pus looking stuff all over. This is normal part of healing. Dr. Said that any discharge that has any odor or blood could be a sign of infection. I was also given a antibiotic cream that I still put around the incision and frenulum.

Yeah I have that pus looking stuff, it comes off a bit in the bath but then reappears.

Don't worry man i was super anxious too. Being naked helps. I started sleeping naked which helped drying out the skin. But don't over do it and loose all sensitivity. After gauze come off it ll get worse for a day or two. Then the brain gets used to the newly exposed skin. Try different types of clothing. I wore tight briefs and pushed through the sensations. Hang in there. Follow everything doctor tells you after he takes off your bandage.

I just read your posts you are a hero man haha I am scared to death to wear underwear right now if it helps with your tips for me I had phimosis as well so yeah it's the first time the glans is exposed I really hope I can make it and wear something tomorrow

I was sweating everytime I had to wear underwear. It's the initial contact that hurts the most. The more you do it. The faster the glans get desensitized. Keep us updated bro. You are healing normally.

Exactly when it first touches the fabric it's a nightmare that I just can't seem to deal with . Also even if I do manage to wear something I feel that I must immediately take it off or it will hurt even more did you have this kind of feeling?

Yes. And I realized the issue was more psychological than physical. Start slow. Best way is like I said ground yourself with the stinging sensation because that's the only way your brain learns to adapt to the exposed glans. In coming weeks body will naturally keratanized the skin. You ll start to see scabs all over your glans. Don't pick em. That's your skin adapting. Get through this first week and you ll realize it gets better

I’m 2.5 weeks in so share your pain! My regret is that i focused on sensitivity too much at the beginning rather than letting everything heal. Even now to go out I have to wrap in a dressing with tape and wear light football shorts, no boxers even. Things are getting better, keep touching gently when you’re cleaning which may help desensitise. I have noticed a difference in the last couple of days. Do as a little as possible and let the wound heal first. If you need to take time off work do it as it’s a pain in the arse if you have a set back! Good luck 👍🏻

I am on my 8th week and hypersensitivity is still there bit its much bearable and I am driving/ walking/ etc. But I still have no courage to have oral sex, masturbation with hand on the glans, jogging/running etc. what I am doing everyday is to take 10 mins each two times lukewarm shower and let the flow goes on the head. It really helped until now and hopefully in few more weeks I can do the above mentioned can’t do list

I too have grade 4 phimosis means for the last 34 years the glans never seen the outside world.

I completely agree with above comment that the first touch always hurts, what I do to overcome is to breath in the air, hold it and then wear underwear and as soon as its done let it exhale.

Exactly. Because of partial circumcision what I used to do from week 2 onwards was keep the foreskin on top of glans and wear the underwear.However, For the first week post op, I kept it open whole day and at night I used to wrap the glans with non stick bandage and wear tight underwear.

Get you some polyester compression undies. Under armor makes em. I’m 10 days today post circumcision (Shang ring) and I’ve noticed these work best

Do you have it covered yet? Taking your meds for it? They told me to keep.it covered for about 4 5 days then go back and see them. She had a look see and said seem to be healing well. I had one spot where it didn't heal for about 1 1/2 months. I think.the stitch was still in there when it tried healing but didn't devolve. Ended up going in and they removed it and it was fine after.
