Hello, I got circumcised 7 months ago and just about 1 month ago about 5 vertical white lines have appeared along one section of the scar line, they measure about 5 mm. I have heard about them but now I want to know if this is normal and if they eventually will fade away or what can I do to make them fade away. I've been using a lot of BioOil but it didn't stop them from appearing.

7 months post circ, vertical lines on scar
Have you deleted scudded this development with your doctor?
Hi they sound like stitch marks they might fade in time or they might not? The skin can take a year to get fully recovered from circumcision. I'd continue with the Bio oil. next time you're in with the doctor you could ask about it.
OK Sure you can ask him anyway see what he says. they might fade away in time or maybe not 👍🏻
I recently had a revision, and in my case, the vertical lines were actual stitches. There were thin lines and a few thicker lines. The larger ones were sutures under the skin, and the thinner ones were very thin, monofilament sutures, commonly used in plastic surgery. They were outside the skin, and easy to cut.
Immediately after cutting a stitch, the line would fade away, and any bunched skin would flatten out.
I’d recommend vigorously massaging the scar, to speed up the process of the sutures breaking free. Hopefully they used dissolvable sutures.
My doctor said they used them, but after almost a year i still had some.
I can't belive you had sutures that much time after surgery. In my case the doctor used dissolvable ones too, I massage the scar everyday with bio oil so if that were the case I hope it works soon. The ones that were outside the skin were visible? Cause I don't see any type of suture, just the skin.
