So I was worried post circ about my length not returning, however it has started to get back to normal. However I feel 99% of the time I have an erection I can feel the erection inside of me which isn't fully making its way into the skin if that makes sense. I'm about 5" fully erect but if I push the skin on my belly down it's about 5.5/6. Is this still down to tightness of the scar or keeping the frenulum?
I've been using bio oil for about 2 months now and it working as I used to have a slight bend when erect which seems to have cleared up but I was wondering if there's anything better to help soften the scarline if that's what is holding me back
The erections just feel a bit restricted and if I can gain that extra 1/2 inch or inch I'd be very happy
This is one of the negative consequences of circumcision. The ridge band and frenulum are the keys to maintaining length. The ridge band and frenulum both keep the foreskin in the forward position.
You could try tissue expansion to get your length back.
There are definite major pros and cons to being cut and uncut. Those advantages attained will entirely depend on how the cut turns out. There is no standard procedure done on infants or adults.
I find it really sad that there is so little research done on how to perform a circumcision while preserving all the sensory tissue.
Circumcision can both cause excessive numbness and premature ejaculation.
I certainly would take premature ejaculation over numbness any day.
Why is the frenulum key to retaining length once cut? Mine looks like it's almost restricting the growth of erections..
I'm a grower so my skin almost completely folds over the glans when soft so I don't think it's a lack of skin. I'm still thinking it's down to being resitiched after the op and it's taking longer to soften but again I'm not sure
- physical: every circumcision is traumatic to greater or lesser extent. May be yours require more healing time. Also, anaesthesia has much more effect than people tend to believe.
- psychological: in the healing process we tend to "moderate" our body natural impulses because the pain it produces. May be your mind has created a body reflex and you should get rid of it.
Having all these in mind, I highly encourage you to seek medical advice.

Once the full glans enters into vagina, you will feel complete and won't feel the shortness
So it’s the case of the doctor removing slightly more skin then you would have.
Many doctors go on the other side of this approach and cut less and as a result the erections have a loose feel to it because there is too much skin left on the shaft. People who usually have a loose cut end up going back to doctors to have more skin removed (it’s called revision) - they want it tightened up cause on a circumcised penis the tightness feels better
For you over time it will loosen up some more and you will feel it’s perfect. Just be careful about pulling the skin too much. If it’s gets too loose you may over time want to go back for revision.
But the good news is that based on what you say you are almost there and hopefully you will not feel the need for revision ever.
Thanks for the detailed response mate! This is good to know. It does feel like there's slightly less skin on the base of the shaft so I'm hoping that stretches a bit more.
Was just worried that even after 5 months I thought everything would be back to normal but must just be a slow healer
Everyone heals at different pace. Don’t worry about it. And if it does hurt you, you should not thinking about it (don’t keep measuring). And if it feels nice and sexy then it’s all good. Allow your body to adjust with time and allow your mind to adjust by not thinking about it all the time. Your mind will also adjust.
Some good thoughts from members. Full healing can take up to 12 months. so no point in worrying at this stage. One of the truisms of life is that it is rarely perfect.
Yeah not a problem just feels like there is some of the erection inside me and it's wanting to bust out, I have some loose skin below the scar when erect so I'm hoping it's just down to tightness and not too much skin cut off
