hey guys i’ve been struggling a lot with my surgery as in intense when it touches other things only underneath the tip and on top actually severely hurt after touched, i’ve been having sleepless nights crying due to stress i do not work and i’m recovering sleeping naked with a dressing gown on while laid backwards and penis resting on balls, which does hurt a lot when lifted due to some stick or the scab swelling underneath hurts , my stitches are still in but less than the start, please help me i need some advice i’m so depressed i just want to sleep peacefully and recover without the pain

Have you used a gauze and petroleum jelly on wound lately?

no i have not, my bandage was on too long before this and i went back in to the hospital to get it off, it came off and now it’s more painful than ever i am crying even typing this due to lack of sleep, i just want no pain but it seems impossible

Here in Nordic countries is suggested to use a gauze until the wound is healed and there is no discharge anymore. Petroleum jelly is used for protect the incision line and to prevent the gauze stuck in dried blood and wound discharge.

Did you get proper instruction for wound aftercare from your local healthcare provider?

i am also just keeping my knees up so the blanket does not touch anywhere

Did you have medical need for the operation or is it just cultural genital mutilation there where you live? Have you already asked for help from your local healthcare provider?

yes phimosis and they have told me to just wait it out and they gave me anti biotics for 5 days and i have done with them now.. yet i’m still in pain i want to wear clothes

You’ll be ok. It’s just going to take it’s time. Painkillers like paracetamol might help if you take them before bed, I also used a knee pillow because I prefer sleeping on my side which helped.

can you explain what a knee pillow is? and how did you do this?

So basically, it’s a pillow for between your knees people would use it for back pain and stuff. But I found it useful as it kept my legs apart at night which let me lie on my side. You can get them in a few places but I’m sure Amazon and stuff sell them.

I’m on day 21 post circ, and have had a lot of issues with sleeping due to uncomfortable night time erections, though luckily for me I haven’t to date had too many issues with extreme hyper sensitivity of the glands.

Sounds like you have the latter, do you have the former also?

Vasoline does help with the sensitivity however you also do need to toughen up the glands, so I only coat glands with a thin layer after a shower each morning. Make sure you wash penis regularly also, shower twice a day & let water run over it to clean it & toughen it up.

If it’s any consolation I’ve seen a decent improvement sleep wise last couple of days, so hang in there & things should improve over next couple of weeks.

i’ve took some advice i’m going to wrap in bandages with vaseline and take off every time i need the toilet and re apply, i really cannot sleep because the scab underneath hurts so so much and sticks to my balls.

Hey I’m on my 3rd day after circumcision, I’m going to take my bandage off and probably rinse it with some water to avoid getting too wet. I too am struggling a lot with the hypersensitivity with the glans , when my glans were really dry it sometimes tend to stick to my underwear. So I tried coconut oil however it increased the sensitivity by a lot , whenever it touches something it feels like an electric shock. I wonder if there are better options to apply on the glans to reduce sensitivity.

i just don’t wear underwear stay naked under a cover bathe twice a day and i hope it’s going to get better :/ i’m so scared

I just wear a loose underwear and my penis doesn’t move too much , it touches the underwear sometimes and it also gets a bit itchy but bearable for now. I have to wear an underwear to cover with blanket during sleep cuz the blanket might touch my glans

i blow dry and i don’t wanna put boxers on i’m too scared for it touching i had bad sleep last night i hated it dude

Sucks bro, I managed to use some cotton to dry my penis and let it dry out a bit . I’ve put on some Vaseline on my penis and it felt a lot better. I don’t feel a lot of pain at night however I do get random erections during the night so it’s painful sometimes
