Hi, I’ve had my circumcision 1 week ago now after having very tight phimosis and I am 23 years old. The op was successful but the head was heavily inflamed as the doc said my foreskin was stuck to the glans. There’s is absolutely no pain and the sensitivity was okay up until yesterday when I was out with my friends and it became more sensitive than ever. Now if the tip touches anything I can really feel it but it’s bearable as I cover it up with gauze. However one thing that keeps happening is the glans folds into itself, my penis when soft pushes all the remaining foreskin down/up to the glans and then forces the glans to fold in on itself. At first I thought it’s just the remaining foreskin that’s forcing itself over the glans when soft but then I noticed a crease ob my glans and from that crease is where the glans is actually able to fold in. So it happens it’s actually a little more comfortable but I don’t believe that it’s right. Does anyone have any advice please?

These are my thought after reading your text.
Well, if your doctor needed to cut your foreskin off from glans. The surface of the glans can be raw and bloody. Just make sure that your shaft skin/former inner foreskin won't adhere to glans again. Try to keep skin retracted with surgical tape on shaft skin bear the base of you penis and/or a gauze. You might get skin bridges otherwise.
You can (/have to) apply petroleum jelly or what your doctor prescribed to wound after daily wound care. Ask further help from your local healthcare provider.

Hi, I’d really like to avoid any complication I.e skin bridges. I’ve been taping my penis so that it is positioned upwards but then it gets even softer even when taped and the skin won’t stay retracted, any tips on how to keep it retracted as it’s usually got more force than tape and just overpowers the tape especially when I keep moving. Also I wouldn’t say it’s the inner foreskin that’s adhesring to the glans, it’s the actual glans itself that folds itself at a crease on the glans, which is very weird to me so it has me a little worried. I will call my GP this morning so maybe they can have a look.
Update: I’ve put a bandage around the penis and half around the glans to keep it from folding in, so far it’s working. For some reasons none of the nurses or the doctor told me to keep putting a bandage on after taking off my initial one. My glans is still very weird looking, note that I had inflammation due to my foreskin being stuck to the glans so the doctor had to essentially rip off the foreskin after the incision. I do hope it gets better, I will seek to see a doctor for my peace of mind however.
