Post circumcision sensitivity

Hey guys, I'm now exactly 4 weeks post op with my wounds almost all healed and stitches obviously all out. However during these 4 weeks I opted to stay in my room (WFH) and keep my penis exposed the whole time. I notice that I still can't wear any underwear, gym shorts, or sweatpants still as the tip of the glans is still too sensitive and it hurts. How long did it take you guys to be able to wear pants without it bothering you at all? Anything I can do to help decrease sensitivity?

Edit:

I take a lot of hot baths to reduce stress from recovery and relax, does that affect my glans desensitizing speed?

Try wearing underwears that are made of microfiber material. they are soft and won't create strong friction. The glan will take time to dry up and to firm up. I started wearing underwear exactly 3rd week post surgery and it hurt because of stickiness of glan to cloth. I sleep naked at night to let the air in to dry it up. You will have to bear with it for some months in order to let it desensitize itself gradually. When bathing, try let the water run through it. It will toughen up too. It has been 5 months plus for me and my sensitivity level has since reduced a lot, although still feel discomfort from time to time. Brave through it, let your brain to adjust those sensation and normalise it. I am also a religious person, I pray daily too for quick recovery and adjustment.

Wow, 5 months? May I ask how old you are?

35 this year. I have never retracted my foreskin before and I got an infection. It does take time to settle down and patience is the key. If you have retracted and used to expose the glan before then I think you should be okay faster than mine. What made you do it? Medical? Cosmetic?

I also never retracted and learned that I had phimosis. So I'd say it's definitely medical. I did a bit of stretching and exposing before surgery but nothing too significant. Yea I only ask about age because I'm 23 and I'm hoping that means I'll desensitize faster (almost done healing thankfully)

This discomfort will not last. It does mess up with our head, all the anxiety and stress. It is good too to have hot bath, I myself bathe in hot water, hot water does relieve anxiety and stress from the body - enjoy it. The sensitivity at first was super uncomfortable, gradually it will dry up and firmed up. The glan will peel like the callus. Expose it more and your brain will adjust those signals. The speed of desensitization varies depending on individuals.
