My circumcision was based on my GPs recommendation as I developed a foreskin infection in Nov 2020. I'm 37 and fairly healthy.
I just got operated yesterday and am carrying the ring. I also went through frenectomy where the surgeon "loosened" the frenulum.
Day 01: Ongoing bleeding (mostly because of the frenectomy) with some pain and lot of discomfort due to the ring and sensitivity. I already had a painful erection on the first night accompanied with minor bleeding. I'm using Vaseline and antibacterial provided by the surgeon with some pain killers and Ibuprofen as recommended by the surgeon. Sleeping with the underwear on and an upright positioned cock.
Hopefully the wound recovers well. As instructed, I will be taking a shower later today.
My surgeon has given me a few instructions for post surgery recovery. I've created this post so that other guys going through the same or a few weeks ahead can share experiences or questions. If required, I'm happy to share the care instructions from my surgeon.
Cheers

I got it done in Calgary, Canada - private clinic. The freezing pins were a bit painful (about 6 or 7 pokes) but both the circumcision and frenectomy were done in about 20 mins max with no pain during the surgery. I still have to bleeding and irritating by the frenulum. I think the ring has moved a bit due to an erection the very first night - I might contact the doctor again for this.
Not feeling positive or negative yet - I had no option but to get circumcised. I will try to post my jouney here with the healing process.
I couldn't retract even when hard. I'm 37. It was not a major issue for having sex. My surgeon infact said sex might be more pleasurable after the circumcision... so lets wait n watch.
I am also looking at the Shang ring method before final decision. What kind of pain level did you feel on a scale of 1/10 in the first few days and 1/2 weeks later? What about the wound healing process? What would you advice in terms of cleaning and how to reduce inflammation/swelling? Did you have scarring issues, or just a neat circ line?
