Petroleum jelly?
What is the current state of your penis? Has the wound healed? Any pain or swelling? Any skin dryness?
Stitches just came out, a few small bumbs or cuts. No bleeding or pus. Doesn’t hurt. sometimes just a couple stings and gone.
Once my stitches had come out and cuts healed I stopped using the jelly. Only added a little to penis head when sensitive on pants but that's it
try and get yourself some Tea Tree Oil it's packed with vitamins and helps prevents any infections and helps blend in the scar line. I'm currently on day 20 and all stitches have fallen off so I'm just applying this for the scar. and it keeps the head very moisturized too. So (my opinion) I would stop and use Tea Tree but if you're experiencing hypersensitivity then understand the use of jelly.
I think there are two main functions to apply petroleum jelly based product on to circumcision wound:
1. It helps you to keep moisture balance on wound bed. Petrolatum won't evaporate, but unfortunately can be wiped to underwear.
2. It prevents a gauze to stick in dried blood/wound discharge.
When the incision line is healed and there is no discharge anymore you can stop using petrolatum.

"It sits on top of the skin and hinders so-called transepidermal water loss (TEWL) like nothing else."

PS.
It's not recommended for woman to use petroleum jelly as a personal lubricant.
Hey, I am 5 days in and use Vaseline (petroleum jelly) to prevent the wound from sticking to dressing, as well as keeping the urethra from drying. Mine has bled due to night time erections, so far no reactions, safe to use, its helped a lot.
