Circumcised two days ago too sensitive/painful on one side to shower

Did anyone else have this issue? I got circumcised on Monday, tried to shower yesterday but was too painful had to get a jug and pour water over only managed a small bit. Does anyone know how I can get around this? Worried I’ll get an infection if I can’t clean it daily.

It will probably be like that for a week or two. I would puff out my chest and belly and just let the water trickle down onto my penis. It was still uncomfortable but tolerable. I wouldn’t worry too much about washing it right away, just apply antibiotic like neosporin to the incision line and you should be alright.

I was done 8 days ago. I’ve showered and fine since second day. Found baths very relieving. 1 of my stitches has came out due to a morning erection. Did this happen with you at all. I’m just concerned. And how long did it take for them to dissolve?

I had one pop on the underside which resulted in a nice little open wound about a centimeter big. It’s healed up nicely tho. Just put antibiotic on any openings. Most stitches were gone after 3 weeks but there were a couple stubborn ones on the bottom that I ‘encouraged’ out around week 4. I don’t think you’re supposed to do that but they were itchy as heck so I pulled em.

U bled a little when you pulled them after 4 weeks?

No they were barely even hanging on so there wasn’t any blood.

Hey bud; I also had more sensitivity on one side, so I kind of managed to let water fall on it guiding it with one hand instead of directly from the shower. However as days went by sensitivity got better and it didn’t hurt.

The body went through a huge change so sensitivity is normal, it’ll get better as days go by, you need to be patient. You’ll be okay

Yeh man the shower earlier was a lot easier. Noticed a big bruise on shaft did you have this issue? Also still pretty swollen when did yours start to go down?

Yeah I also had a bruise and it went down in the course of the first week or so. Being swollen is super normal; I recommend you wear tight underwear and place your penis pointing up towards your stomach, that helps a lot.

Also you can apply ice indirectly for the first week. So basically some ice in a ziploc bag or something and placing it on top of the underwear or a paper towel over the underwear and then the ice

It’s been 4 days now and my bandage was bloody underneath when I woke up. I felt something pull during the night when I got an erection I’m guessing this is why. Is it normal to be bloody still?

Hey bud. That sort of feeling something’s pulling or some like “tightness” is normal, you not only need to heal on the outside but also on the inside, so it takes time. Full recovery for that feeling to get better can be around 6-8 weeks. You’ll start to feel better as the weeks go by but just let your body heal

Yes it’s normal to still be bloody, don’t worry about it.

As long as it’s not a huge amount of blood, or that it maybe smells bad or something then you’re good

If it’s just a little amount that it even dries up you’re okay, so don’t worry about it. That’s normal to see it for maybe the first two weeks or so
