Erection is shorter after tight circumcision

I went for the cut 16 days ago and the wound is almost healed now. The problem is too much skin was removed. I'm a grower. My erection is too tight and shorter by an inch. Will it improve over time?

When internal and external swelling goes down and the skin adapts to its new situation, things should improve. The caveat is that, with any surgery, there can be no guarantees.

I hope it will improve but my balls are pulled up the shaft when erect. I'll wait for a couple more weeks before seeing the doctor again. thanks

We have had members with similar issues up to a year after surgery!!

That's scary. I was a bit depressed when I first found out on day 10 but I'm hoping for the best.

Each guy is different. If you have problems when you start to “exercise” your penis then see your doc.

I have the same issue with scrotum skin pulled onto shaft when erect so no space for my testicles. They get shifted to left and right side of shaft. Not much foreskin to rub up and down.

Hey bud. You’re only 2 weeks in so it’s normal for your body to still be recovering and healing. Your body not only needs to heal on the outside with the stitches but also in the inside.

I’ve heard from others experienced (and even my own) that yeah, erections sort of feel tight, but others have said that after you hit around week 6-8 it definitely gets better. For some it takes shorter, for some longer, it’s just a matter of being patient and in case it’s bothering you too much you can ask your doctor and see what he could recommend :)

Thanks buddy. That's reassuring. I'll stop thinking about it for a while. Patience is a virtue I guess.

Yeah, I know it’s hard but it’s best to try and focus on something else and give it time to heal :). Having follow ups with the doctor is also important so I hope you see him soon! You should’ve seen him for the first week check up, so if you haven’t maybe talk to him :)

I went to see the doctor a week after the surgery but I had not noticed the shorter erection then cause erections were painful did not dare to touch it. I only noticed it on day 10 when the pain was more bearable.

I see. After the first week some doctors usually follow up at week 4 on how you’re doing.. but if it’s something that’s bothering y yo try giving him a call just to ask him, if he prefers you go so he can check it out then good, if not then maybe it’s just a matter of giving it a little time, but you should have another appointment in a couple of weeks :)

Yeah it’s still a bit swollen around the cut wound. Hope things are going to be ok in the next few weeks.

It will be swelling unless they have removed too much foreskin. Which means you penis could be pulled into your pubic area. There is more chance it will be swelling. If you have a bit of pubic fat it could be slightly more hidden than before. Give it some time the swelling will go and the skin will stretch and settle down. What type of cut do you have? i.e high low loose tight?

I think too much skin was removed and I have quite noticeable pubic fat but not where my sfaft is attached to my body, it’s around it. Come to think of it, the skin where the attachment is being pulled up the sfaft when erect. I think I had high and tight cut.

How are you now? Has the swelling died down a bit?

I’m good sir. The swelling has reduced. Only around the incision near the frenulum is a bit swollen. As for the tight erection it hasn’t improved. I noticed my shaft is trapped at the base. It’s become clear now that too much skin was removed. I’m on day 23 now.

You will still have some swelling just now. That may clear as well.

A common complaint many guys have about about adult circumcision is they were cut TOO LOOSE—and they often go back for revision surgery. Your swelling will go down, making the skin a bit looser. Give yourself some time!

I wouldn’t mind too loose as it’s fixable.

When did you have the surgery?

Your skin will adapt as you heal sir, just takes time.
