Day 8 - post circumcision- this is no easy ride

Hi all - I’m new here and have read many posts of this community’s experiences with circumcision and I have found this invaluable.

I developed balanitis 3 months ago and after fungal creams, ointments, antibiotics, condys crystals and a doctor and a dermatologist recommendation that circumcision is my last hope - here I am (at 50!)

The doctor used a Morgan clamp and pollock technique - apparently I bled too much for skin glue so I have sutures. I have currently the offwhite yellow appearance on the head - lots of bruising from the clamp on the head near the ferenium (which is also a bit raw from wearing underwear) I have a swollen ring under the base of the head and the ‘ banjo string’ is also swollen and sore.

All is normal and expected as part of the healing - but gee whiz - this 1-2 weeks after this procedure for recovery is more uncomfortable and delicate than any broken bones and sporting injuries I’ve ever had.

I'm 5.5 weeks end and I'm still getting use to it. Best advice keep elevated and when u go back out there but bikini underwear bc it helps keep it secure.
