8 days after circumcision is - this normal?

Hi guys,

Does this look normal 8 days after circumcision?

I feel like the stitches on the left hand side may have split whilst having an erection in the morning and there's been an unpleasant smell now for 2 days.

I called the hospital and they said it doesn't sound like an infection if there isn't any puss/discharge, but I just feel like it doesn't look okay and I'm concerned.

Please, any advice would be appreciated!

Doesn’t look anything wrong really visually, if some stitches have pulled out then the wound will heal from the bottom, it will take a little longer but it will heal, I had exactly the same, I went back to the hospital & they took a swab & gave me some antibiotics, soon cleared any infection up. If your really concerned actually go to your hospital or doctor rather than phone them….in the meantime if it was mine I’d bathe it in Luke warm water with some salt in three times a day. Salt water has great healing properties.👍

Thank you, I went to the doctor's yesterday and they said everything was fine, just one of my stitches had dissolved too quickly, I have to take it easy and let it heal.

Well don't get diagnosed by the receptionist over the phone to start with. Book an appointment and get checked. Do you really want to leave it to chance?
