Sex for first time since circumcision 5 weeks ago

Had sex for first time since circumcision, which was 5.5 weeks ago.

I didn't lose any sensation. Sex felt good like it always did. The only difference is that I had to be very gentle and slow because I'm still healing (incision and frenulum area are sensitive).

My last remaining scabs came off two nights ago as I showered. I picked them off. Most other scab fell off their own.

I had 3 soft lumps on the shaft and thought my penis had gotten disfigured. Looks like swollen veins or bumps under my skin. But they're gone now. Feel real good about that.

A couple nights ago, I got rock hard and my penis felt restricted like it couldn't go its full potential. This had me worried that the doctor took off too much skin. However, the next night, I got hard again and it felt as if the skin did some more stretching overnight. It felt more comfortable. There was a tiny, little micro-tear but it immediately scabbed up overnight.

Nonetheless, I feel like I may have lost a little length, maybe 0.25-0.5"? Then again, it could just be my head. I ain't big so every single inch counts 😆😆😆. Maybe I'm just staring too much and being paranoid.

It's possible you did lose some length. I lost some. I haven't fully recovered it yet, but I've gotten 1cm back. That took 3 months lol. I can feel at least another about 2cm buried when I'm erect. Just gotta wait. Anecdotally it seems like the more of a grower you are the more likely this side effect is. I wasn't an extreme grower, but I certainly was one.

Yup. My surgeon probably saw my 1" flaccid penis and didn't know I had much, much more potential. I'm not large but I'm a definite grower for sure.

Ah man, I say that's it then. I lost about an inch so it also depends on the surgeon and what he takes away. I've seen a few posts on here where guys have buried penises afterwards. That's terrifying. All I'll say is I've recovered some and my skin feels a bit looser. I have faith I'll get it all back, and you should too with time. The penis is in there somewhere haha.

Now I just need to figure out how to acquire sex... -_-

'X' marks the spot. Hope you can locate your buried treasure, and then find a way to unearth and enjoy using it.

I think I was the same. When completely flaccid and in a cold environment, my penis shrinks to about 1-1.5”. But when fully erect, I’m just around the 5.5-5.6” mark. My urologist never examined me properly before the op so may have cut too much foreskin off. He never kept the inner foreskin and just sutured the outer foreskin to the base close to the underside of the glans. Hence when erect, part of scrotum skin pulls onto the shaft!

You are clearly still healing, even if the wound looks fully closed and all the scabs are off. The new skin at the joins is still very soft and tender, so be careful if you have any form of sex for another few weeks. Any intercourse must be done with a condom to protect this vulnerable skin.

You cannot actually lose length by circumcision, but some swelling can take several months to subside and swelling hides some of your true length, so it will return in due course.

hi, sorry to respond to something from 2 years ago, but when you say you should use a condom even after 6 weeks (I’m at 6 weeks now and wouldn’t usually use condoms as in long term relationship), how long after the 6 weeks would you still expect to still be using condoms to prevent damage to healing scar tissue? Thanks.

Try to give it another month (with the condom) to allow the new join to fully toughen up. An adult circumcision can take at least 8 weeks to fully heal anyway. Even if it looks healed on the outside there is still a lot going on deeper inside the penis to complete the healing.

much appreciated, I was going to continue for a further 6 weeks to be extra careful so that’s super helpful

You will get there in the end sir. Pre OP, i was 6:3, Post 10 day OP a little over 5 inches. Not worried about that at present, all things considered. A short guy anyway at five foot two, so it will blend till it adjusts i guess. A friend of mine suggested E45 cream or a little castor oil along the shaft to keep the skin moisturised, which should in turn aid the skin to stretch better.
