I had my circumcision about 9 weeks ago now due to phimosis. I have been having sex for 12 years and always thought some pain and tightness was normal until recently. Last year I tore and bled during sex and the scarring made the phimosis worse so a circumcision was medically necessary.
I have now been having sex again for about 3 and a half weeks. I'm struggling as I don't like the look or feeling of my circumcised penis. They have done a good job and it's healed well but I can't relate to it and it doesnt feel like my penis. I'm also having some trouble "hitting the spot" when masturbating and having sex, and have lost my erection a couple of times unexpectedly when I was enjoying it. Is this normal?
How do I get used to my new penis and to how sex feels with my new penis? Is it normal to have to figure out what is pleasureable again after circumcision? My penis sometimes feels numb when I'm doing things in a way that I used to like before circumcision. I've been wondering whether going to the doctor or therapist is necessary.

Hey Man you are still only about 9 weeks since you had your circumcision things are still healing up for you it was well over a year before my skin and penis felt right. you do lose sensitivity I found it was the fine touch sensitivity that I lost and I did have numbness as well but I don't have that anymore. as Nowhard suggested used lube when you are having sex and masturbating it makes the glans more sensitive and have you tried BJ's?
The problems you had before with the phimosis and the tearing of your foreskin and probably your frenulum they were not nice things either to go through.
it is a new learning curve for you give it a bit longer for the healing it will improve.
I am using lube during masturbation- can't masturbate without it now. I haven't always used it during sex so maybe that would help. Thanks so much for the suggestion.
I used to not enjoy oral at all pre-circumcision. I couldn't cum from it as it just didn't do it for me. I have really enjoyed it after circumcision but the last time I lost my erection weirdly when I was enjoying it.
Also, I get that there are people against circumcision and I've never been one who would circumcise my own kids, but medically this was necessary for me. I was no longer able to have sex due to excruciating pain and this was the only solution. It's happened now and has fixed that problem so berating me for having a circumcision isn't useful and is also not well informed.
Thanks to everyone else for the useful responses and please keep them coming it's always handy to hear from others who have more experience in this
