Erection length after circumcision

Hi all would like to know how long it would take after circumcision to regain erect penis length. I am now 4 days post op and my erection is less than halve the length as before and is painful. I was worried they cut off too much skin. Is there anything to help get back the length that you can recommend and will the skin stretch again to normal size?

I can’t say from personal experience but if you read the forums it sounds totally normal due to swelling. When you are circumcised it’s only your foreskin that is removed no length should be affected.

As Hidden says, selling and general tightness of skin are the main culprits in you seeming to have lost length. It comes back with time but, in extreme cases, it is still a problem at 12 months. Hopefully yours will not take that long to get back to normal.

Unfortunately, circumcision, like a lot of surgeries, cannot always be guaranteed to produce the result you would want.

I posted about this as well because it's the last side effect I have (along with a bumpy scar line/slight swelling). I'm coming up on 11 weeks post-OP. Immediately after the operation and the first couple weeks I was like you. I was at about half the length erect and flaccid was also far smaller. I can't remember exactly when my flaccid length came back, but it was probably the 4-6 weeks mark when the wound had healed properly. By healed I mean there was no dehiscence. It was still swollen. My erect length was around 0.9-1 inch shorter consistently. Since then I've gotten back about 0.1-0.2 inches. This past week I could tell it was slightly longer.

I'm taking bone-pressed measurements as I always did. I can tell the skin is tight, but it doesn't feel tight anymore. It might feel tight for you when erect for something like 6-8 weeks. Essentially the tight feeling will subside before the literal tightness of the skin does which is preventing your full erection.

It is getting better, but a lot slower than I would have hoped. I get how demoralizing it is. I was always a grower. Now I go from 4.5 inches flaccid to 6.1 inch erect. It feels like no change with an erection lol. I think anyone that was more of a grower has a higher risk of length loss. I do think it'll resolve for you, but it might be several months.

That's just my guess as I haven't even hit 3 months yet. But there has been progress, so fingers crossed for you and I

Thank you for the replay. Yes I am much more a grower than shower and it is my concern that too much skin was removed. But I guess skin does stretch and will eventually correct. It is comforting to see that everyone seems to think that it will correct with time.

How are you doing now that's it's been a few years? Did you're previous size return? I'm in the exact situation you described being a grower and a few weeks post circumcision.

How are you feeling? I lost an inch erect after circumcision and I'm about 2.5 weeks. The scar line feels like there is skin underneath, like it was rolled back...

I would be shoving some peas on it over the clothoes if your getting boners all the time and dont watch porn for a while its only torture man.

Erections should be back to more normal size in 4-6 weeks and then the skin/scar tissue will stretch during sex/play and also you could try some viagras at 8 weeks that would definitely get all the blood to it and some believe it may stretch it back.

I have read up alot as im in a similar boat, I go from a smallish soft to a large hard and was paniced the surgeon would cut too much skin and it would steal inches or id have to get my scrotum attached to it so it gets that extra bit of skin again (Don't look that up unless you want cock nightmares)

Mines 4 and bit weeks post op and it was infected for 2 weeks and he told me id take an extra 2 weeks for recovery. Mine feels tight and prob about 2 inches smaller on erect than normal atm.

Update at day 12 post op. Had erection during sleep over the weekend that caused my erection to reach almost the previous size. Problem being is that it was extremely painful and had to get frozen peas just to get it down. It caused a bit of tearing on the wound and temporally went back to dry dressing of the wound to make sure there is no infection. Now I have to strap up my penis at night time to prevent it from growing during night time erections to protect the wound. I am normally 3-4 inches flaccid and 7 inches erect so there is quite a bit of skin stretch. I told myself now I just need to protect the wound till after week 6 and can then allow the erections to stretch the skin naturally. Thought it would might just help other going thru the same.

😀 but I am confident now that it will all turn out perfect. My wife prefer the look of a circumcised penis so I am sure it will be well appreciated at the end. Also prepared myself that it might take a bit of time for the skin to stretch to full length so all good thanks.

I’m a grower as well . I may need to circumcised too. I’m scared that if they remove enough foreskin to keep my glans exposed when soft will I have enough skin left to get an erection.

It all depends how much skin was removed, if you feels after everything has healed and the penis is still short, you may want to consider foreskin restoration, not to restore what was removed previously, just to grow back some skin to regain length on the penis due to the circumcision good luck.
