It definitely takes a while to get your full length back, but rest assured you will. I think it took me close to 3 months for everything to get back to normal. Oddly enough for me, the hold-up was actually the scar line. It took a while for it to release from the shaft and settle at its final position.

The best way I can describe it would be to say that after my circumcision the cut line was about 1 cm behind my corona when erect, and seemed 'fixed' there. After a couple of months, it 'released' and now when I'm hard, its about 2.5 cm from my corona, and moves freely up and down my shaft.
ohh I see now, completely understand why I still have some tightness around the cut line, so the skin around the cut line and in all the shaft in general expands with time?
Mine did. As I said though, it seems like it took close to three months.

Well, it's been a while now. I don't recall it being overly painful to move except for being really tight til the scar line released. My original circ did leave my frenulum, but that was a mistake, as it became overly tight post circ. I ended up having it released in a follow-up procedure about 8 months later.
I think I'm in a similar situation to you. The doc left my frenulum and the skin around the scar line barely moves but the skin below does a little. I'm afraid my frenulum might tear. Should I be worried?
Well, mine never tore per se, but it was uncomfortable and even without a full fledged tear, I was concerned about the possibility of micro-tears. That's why I went for the follow up procedure. I'd definitely recommend you wait at least a full six months however before you pass final judgment on you cut.
can you talk more about this. I hope I am the same way. When I am erect, things stiffen it feels like instead of length. I am on the smaller side I will admit but still if you can clarify
Well, before I had my fren cut, it was pulling down slightly on the tip of my penis. It was uncomfortable - much improved after the follow-up. Would have been much better had it just been removed in the initial circ.
Waking up an old thread here but I have some questions and concerns regarding this topic. I had a full circumsision done 3 weeks ago due to medical reasons. The wounds have healed well and as of now it pretty much healed. A couple of days ago I started to stimulate myself using silicon lube. I had no problem getting erect but as soon as I stopped actively stimulating my penis it lost the erection within seconds. I had to stimulate it again for 10-20 sec before it got fully erect and so on. Before my circumsision this never happened to me. Once aroused and fully erect I could keep an erection for quite some time. I dont feel stressed, I dont have any pain or discomfort in my penis or the wounds. Is it common to get problems with erections after circumsisions?

I would not worry about it yet Jake78 . It is still quite soon after your surgery. The fact you can get an erection shows that all the "clockwork" is still functioning.

Same here. I'm 3 months in and I can't keep an erection like before. Not sure if it's in my mind but a lot of things are now different. Size smaller , masturbation not enjoyable, and still uncomfortable when it touches my underwear.

Still having that problem, i think a big use is sidenafil when you need to go. I havent tried anything yet but after using it the first times post op i think your mind will wrap around the idea of the new friend.
I am not even through 4 days completely yet, but I would like to say that I am having same issues with my penis touching underwear, I have a soft pad in between to prevent sensitivity, maybe that can help you!And just making a statement, regarding, Can’t hold erection even after 3 months, I am pretty sure it’s because of the loss of neurons (or loss of that pleasure able feeling). Might take even longer for your body to get used to it.

Yeah it does take some time for everything to settle it was probably up to a year before I could say I was back to normal. it takes a while for the skin to stretch and you're scared to soften use some bio oil I found this very good.
is this approved by urologist. mine said soap and water is fine...but i want to speeden the recover.
I don't know if they approve it but they usually don't tell you much about the healing process. using soap and water is fine just make sure you wash the soap off completely it can irritate. the Bio-Oil would be good to soften your scar, your penis can feel tight after having a circumcision this can take some time for the skin to stretch the bio oil will help with massaging everyday.
I’m facing this same issue, definitely had too much skin removed which isn’t even what I wanted annoyingly. When you say the skin will stretch, which part will actually stretch is it the normal skin from the shaft or the actual penis skin on top? I ask this because I hate how much less penile skin I have after surgery
Hi sorry to hear that Man. but yes all skin can stretch over time the shaft skin will most likely become softer and loser over time the scar will also soften up. your glans will probably flare out a little more when erect as well.If you have been cut super tight with your erections being restricted this can be a problem sometimes.

Hay that's ok it's really far to early to know how your circumcision will turn out. it could take up to a year for everything to settle down. once the wound has healed up regular stretching with erections using some natural oils. I found Bio oil good to soften the scar.Can I ask why you had it done?

I wouldn't worry to much I'm sure it will all work out in the end. It's a big decision to do so it's understandable to be worried and a little anxious I think it's something you wanted to do and the problems you were having as well. I'm very happy with having done it so hopefully you will as well. it does takes a little getting used to but that's normal it's only 3 weeks so just be patient.
sorry just to add, I’ve lost about 3 or 4 cm of actual penile skin (the red/pink fleshy skin). Realistically with enough stretching do you think I get this back? I just wanna know what expectations I should have? And are there good ways of stretching that specific area of skin?
If you are referring to actual shaft length I'm not sure or can't actually tell you, if you will regain that back. In my case I also felt much smaller afterwards but eventually it did come back. now I'm no stallion and never was but I'm happy enough with everything I prefer being circumcised it's much easy than before.

If you're a grower, you should not have gotten a tight anything unless you requested it.

Worst case scenario, you may get some scrotal skin being pulled up the shaft with an erection.

I got my surgery 5 days ago and its been a nightmare for me. I know it's still very early but I feel very insecure not knowing the type of cut I got. I never discussed this with the doctor. I thought I would be able to see the entire gland exposed after the surgery but right now i only see about half of it when flaccid or erected. I still cant see the incision line and the stitches even when flacid and it does not look too swollen anymore.
I have been getting so many erections throughout the day and night, and its worrying me a lot too.

Give it time and I am sure it will stretch back. I am past 3 months now. Surprisingly my soldier is now thicker and looks longer than before cut. And the scare line actually became higher up. I thought I was cut low and tight initially but now it looks more like a moderate and loose.

Does your penis appear trapped? I was circumcised as an infant and they removed to much skin from my penis. Also does your penis hang in a relaxed state or does it look constricted while flaccid. You can just look up foreskin restoration Manuel methods. You can just expand the shaft skin enough to allow your full erection to be uninhibited. When did you get circumcised?

I'm a grower as well, or used to be. Far too much was taken from my shaft and as a result the dr has pulled skin from the base up the shaft. I now have pubic hair about halfway up what now passes as my erect penis. I have lost half my length as the skin cannot stretch enough to allow a full erection. You’re probably gonna be fine. I was the same. My erect penis before circ was 9.5 or so, very long for sure, so when it shrunk to 6 or so inches after three three weeks post Circumcision i got panicked. Because my penis holds alot of weight in my sex life. At some point I accepted it because it was fatter, brick hard and pointed up. I kinda liked it, because my penis is heavy it never usually shoots up. But a month and half after the scar line loosened big john came back out lol. It even looks and feels bigger all together, but i guess because it shrunk for a month it feels new. But if my big john came back I’m sure yours will with time. Also I didn’t follow the rules entirely i started masturbating and having sex two weeks prior to the six weeks mark. A urologist i had met during told me not prevent my erections because they are natural and may help the process, which is stark contrast to what the doc that performed the surgery told me, I was even given meds to prevent erections by him. Since then my penis has healed but I’m facing the same problems as you. When I’m erect I feel like my penis is pulling the skin from the base of my penis and it is half of it’s original size. Hi Psgamer2 , unfortunately had a haematoma issue as well. I’m about 4 weeks post circumcision now and the haematoma still hasn’t fully subsided. It is on the right hand side so the penis is skewed to the left with a big bulge on the right. How long did your haematoma take to subside? Also experiencing a vast decrease in erect length - have you had any progress?

Hi guys. First time commenting. I am currently nearly three weeks in, I've still got some stitches left to dissolve. But my healing wasn’t helped by the fact it got infected on day two. After walking around with what felt like a million drugs in my pocket I’m finally over the infection. But I had what I think was my first real erection the other day and felt exactly the same. What do you mean by stretch? For some reason, whenever I get an erection, it bleeds around the incision area and some flesh are exposed. If I pull it back any further, it may cause some tissue scarring so what should I do?
Wait for it to heal up first before the stretching and be careful not to get it infected.

5 months sounds like a very long time for wounds to heal. Have you contacted your doctor?

I just got circumcised 9 days ago. I’m so thankful I found someone who asked this question. I started getting erections the first night after the procedure and it was painful. Each day the pain reduced but I noticed the size was different than before. I freaked out because by the eye test I looked like 2 inches smaller. I lost an inch and a half when I was cut and I thought it would stay like that forever which depressed me greatly. It took some time but I got back to 7 ins. How long will depend on your healing ability and age but your length will come back
Well I found doctors don't tell you a lot. Yes your cut might be healed in 6 weeks but I wasn't back to normal. My skin was still tight and my cock was definitely shorter. It will get back to full length and you're a young guy so it should be quicker because your skin will have more elasticity. Try not not to worry too much.
Just to add. Everything does feel different, sensation is not the same and I found it difficult to masturbate. Don't think you should be feeling pain after 2 months but I did find that my cock was sore and a bit swollen for a while after sex or masturbating and would take a while to recover. Gradually disappeared and I could have sex again without worrying too much.
