Scar reduction

I’m about 26 days post circumcision and healing really well, still slightly open at the frenulum but it’s getting there.

I was after some advice on what everyone uses to reduce the scar? And what point is best to start using it, once everything’s fully healed?

Silicone gel scar sheets work really well. I’d recommend them.

It's recommended to wait until the wound is healed, stitches are out, no scabs or drain anymore.

Yea, when there’s no more scabs.

I applied bio oil twice a day when the stitches desolved. Still applying even after 6 months and have been able to see a significant difference!

Hey man both recommendations here seem good. I'm using silicone scar sheets for a small burn on my chest. It's working, but keep in mind it takes long time. I've noticed a slight fade after 1 week of nearly constant wear. The sheets are not as reusable as they claim either. After 2-3 washes I felt like the adhesive was terrible, even fully dry. Bio oil is the other one. I haven't been using it for long, but I'm putting it on my circumcision scar. I still have those bumps that haven't gone down yet

I did use re-usable silicone scar sheet over 6 months post-op. I cut one sheet to three strips. One strip last more than one month. I washed it with soap and alkaline-free 'Sebamed' body wash and let it dry before re-use.

It doesn't matter what exact product to use. Just keep the scar line moisturized six months at least. With silicone scar sheet you do not apply anything under it.

I tried 2 different scar sheets, Aroamas, and cica-care. The aroamas ones became useless if you tried washing them. They rolled up and became impossible to unstick itself. I ended up having to throw them out after 1 day. The cica-care worked great. They stick fairly well on their own, but still needed something to hold it on. Pricey, but worth it.

How do you deal with the frenulum opening up? Im 21 days post op now and still have some opening and bleeding around the incision under the glans

The frenulum area always takes longest to heal. Mine came apart and doctor said that happens. It grew together well. You will be okay.
