3 weeks after circumcision scaring is bumpy?

Hey so I’m 21 and I had my circumcision due to phimosis and the sensitivity is still going away but not bad at all. However the scar looks like Frankenstein and is lumpy and raised and hard and sore and I’m just wondering will it ever become like a small line like most of the other men who are circumcised? Their scars are hardly recognizable or in their recovery pics never had this stage of a scar? How long will it take to look and feel normal?

It looks good. Really good. You will be very happy. 3 weeks is so early!! At 3 months you’ll still be unhappy about the bumps... it takes at least 6 months for everything to flatten and smooth out so hang in there!! Good luck

Hey I checked out your story how is yours right now? Has it gotten any better?

Yes. It is taking forever but shit I’m finally in a better place. Still not where I would like it to be (wanting to have sex, been 4-5 months I haven’t been able to) so that’s the next goal lol

Is it physically hard to have sex after? Or is it a mental thing?

Not hard but painful and I don’t feel things as much so it ain’t easy but hopefully I’ll be back there soon

Is it the glans of the head that’s painful or the scar?

Nah it was never the glans. It took me two weeks to get used to it. The problem areas were my scar line, my meatus and my frenulum.

Right now my frenulum seems very tight when erect and it does have some pain and the scar is very sore when touched so I’m just gonna hope it doesn’t stay this way

Lol you’re funny don’t worry I was nuts too when it happened but you really have to trust us guys that had it done before you did it doesn’t stay like that. Sorry you’re in pain but hang in there dude it won’t last. I was the worst believer and I thought it was the worst thing that ever happened to me but it does get better even though I was super slow at healing and had an infection and stuff... you seem to be going the right direction... it even looks good now ;)

For me, it took 6-8 weeks to really 'feel' normal - that said, I was cut for recurrent balanitis, not phimosis, so I started out MUCH less sensitive than you. For the scaring to really go down and normalize, it will take at least 6 months, and it will be closer to a year to really have a good idea of what your final result will look like.

Does your final result look okay? Based upon my picture would you say I’m heading toward the right direction? For it to look decent?

I'm happy with my final result and I'd say you will end up with a good cosmetic result.

It looks fine to me : v. neat and zero sign of infection. And it can only get better as nature does its work..........

Can you advise what level of pain you felt after the anaesthetic wore off ?

What meds did you take for the pain and how effective were they ?

Where did you have the op done ?

So I had the operation done at a hospital and the pain after the operation was none unless touched. The stitches didn’t hurt at all it was just the sensitivity that was like an 8 or 9 for me because the head had never ever been exposed. I was on Tylenol 3 for pain however it made me feel so nauseas and drowsy and literally stupid like I couldn’t form a thought. I stopped taking it after 2 days and started taking extra strength Tylenol which did fine. The stitches only bothered when I got an erection but other than that the sensitivity took about a week or so to go away mostly

Do you have an operation scheduled? Or are you thinking about getting it done?

Thinking about getting because of bacterial problems

The scarring depends on your surgeon whether it’s good or not . If he’s a good surgeon then it will heal very well and you should have no bumps .

Don’t worry about the bumps, I’m about 4 months and half is smooth and half still has some bumps. Sucks to hear but it’s just a waiting game!

It will be fine. Takes time but it will heal and you will be happy with the result. Just let it rest and keep it dry. It is a nice job
