so i got cut 12 days ago, and the first week was a living hell but am getting better, erections have not been painful for past few days but, today i noticed a small open wound, i think a stich broke, there is no pain or bleeding, now is it safe for erections with a broken stich?

What else you can do? Healthy male will get nocturnal erections, even he is circumcised. You can support the incision line with strips of skin adhesive tape like Micropore. By applying petroleum jelly on to incision line will help to loosen the tape for daily wound care.

I got mine re-stitched by going back to the clinic again.

Could you specify what day post-op your wound re-stitched? Normally small open area will heal by secondary intention from the bottom of the wound (wound bed). There is a higher risk of infection if "open area" will sealed with a stitch/stitches and there is your normal flora already.

The stitch broke on the 4th day, got it re-stitched on the 5th. Didn’t get any infection. In fact, an open wound is more susceptible to infection, no? Yes, there’s a thing such as secondary healing but that takes a long time to close up. If you can afford to re-stitch it and if the doctor recommends it too, what harm will it do?

Thanks for the reply. Nice to hear that everything went fine on early days re-suturing. The question is: is it ok after 12nd day post-op day, when skin edges might have already dried (sealed). The doctor needs to cut them open again to start the healing process from point zero. Every case is different.
