2 days before circumcision

I just do circumcision because of phimosis but i am scared about swallowing .. how to prevent this ?

Swelling is very very common and just the normal bodys response . Unlike what most ppl think , the swelling in itself doesn't hurt much . The incised part will hurt but it is manageable. Also with pain killers prescribed by the doc , it shouldnt be a prob. The swelling will subside in most by 2 months . Don't worry much ! All the best !

Balanced nutritious diet and good post op care and follow ups would be the best that you can do. Also keep the area clean and dry .

I was very swollen for the first week. After, it started going down for me. I was extremely sensitive around the wound for a good part of the first 3 1/2 weeks and had to wear loose clothing to deal with friction from clothes. After, I started slowly graduating into wearing normal cargo shorts around week 4 and finally jeans around week 5. Although, everyone heals at a different rate. Petroleum jelly is great at reducing friction from wearing clothing, however your doctor may recommend another solution. Recommend getting their input.

Hi mate sorry I’m a bit late in seeing your post

Don’t worry about your English hopefully your circumcision did go well. How are you finding things. Swelling is normal and your doctor or surgeon would of explained it to you. Follow your doctors instructions about after care etc and you should be good as gold. As the days go by it gets a lot better with the healing trust me.

Swelling can be different for everyone. Do not try to pleasure yourself too early wait 4-6 weeks or as long as possible so not to cause any problems or extra delays in your healing you have got this mate. remember to keep the penis clean and maintained for a better healing experience. Especially once you have removed the compression bandage. Your swelling may look like it has increased once your pressure bandage gets removed this is fine and normal.

Did you have stitches or glue? Glue aftercare is a newer type out there which I had so if that’s what you had I can help and guide you on that if you feel it’s necessary.

Swelling will still remain even internally for a few more weeks possibly longer everyone’s healing is different. Don’t worry about your scar my friend focus on getting healed as your scar will settle over time and you can use some bio oil on that scar at a later date. Just focus on getting healed before you worry about your scar. Also when you clean your penis to dry it use a hair dryer on a warm setting not hot and pat dry your glans with a clean hand towel it will help your gland get used to being rubbed by like clothing. Are you applying anything to your glans like Vaseline etc.

Yes i use ointment .. when i start using bio oil after week 4 or 6? .. can i use bio oil as lubricant ? And what about lumps and bumps ? They are slowly disappeared or stay for years ?

I have only been using bio oil on my glans not on my scar yet as I’m on my 5th week I don’t feel like my scar is bad but I may try and start using bio oil on my scar next week so on my 6th week. Not 100% sure about using bio oil as lube but I also wouldn’t worry about lube as you can’t do anything until you have healed at least 99% which will hopefully be in the next few weeks s

I just use the small white tub 100ml the gel not the spray. It’s all white with orange writing and a orange drop made out of lines the gel is a clear orange ish pink colour lol that’s the best description I can come up with

It doesn't really matter what oil or emollient cream you will use to moisturize your glans and wound. Some of us use natural oils like coconut oil. Some prefer medical look like product such as 'Bio-Oil' or cheaper version Baby oil. I just suggest to use fragrance free product.

With glue it gives a better finish on the scar with stitches it is slightly different but please don’t worry about it as I said above focus on healing and purchase yourself some bio oil to apply on the scar in the next few weeks time you don’t particularly want to apply it yet as your scar may still be slightly open and it won’t do much as your scar needs to settle. Scars can take a little bit longer to settle even after your circumcision has healed. If you feel the scar is affecting you possibly look at seeing a urologist and see what they suggest but you will always have a scar.
