I am circumcised two days before My bandage over the penis is removed . Since my bandage is removed I feel very discomfort in penis . My glans and stitches got sticked in my scrotum and causes pain and sensitivity. What should I do overcome this ? Should I need to put bandage again to overcome contact?

Hey I'm on day 15. My bandage fell off as soon as I left the theatre. Re-bandaged for the first night and then left it off. It's going to be uncomfortable for a while. I have bathed everynight in luke warm water with salt / bio oil which keeps everything clean. Be patient buddy, everyday will be different. If you are in doubt about anything go see the doctor.

It is better to let the air in to help with the healing, but while the wound is still open you could use Vaseline to stop things sticking, then move onto Bio oil once everything has closed up

Dear reader. This kind of argumentation has been proved wrong or old-fashioned at least. There is an alternative for better and faster wound healing.

Part of the modern wound care is to cover the wound until the incision site is healed and there is no discharge anymore.

A strip of paraffin gauze to contact layer prevents the woven gauze stuck into dried wound discharge.

Paraffin gauze dressings like 'Jelonet' 10x10 cm, 10 pcs cost under £$10€.

Homemade saline: Boil 1 litre of tap water and add 1 tea spoon of table salt. Stir. You can bath your penis in a bowl or a tea mug, when the solution is cooled down near the body temperature. 5-10 min, once a day. You can rinse with it too. Some German doctors suggest bath with chamomile.

You can try medical honey ointment to speed up the healing process. There are brands like 'L-mesitran', 'Activon tube', 'Medihoney', 'First honey' etc. available.

When the incision site is healed and there is no discharge anymore you can use any fragrance free moisturiser, emollient cream with ceramides, natural or mineral oil to maintain moisture balance on damaged skin like scar.

There is also evidence-based data for silicone scar products on scar line. They might maintain normal moisture balance on scar better than any moisturiser, cause you can not wipe them off like creams and oils. Vaseline is too smudge to use, IMO.

My consultant was an older guy so maybe a bit old fashioned.

Ok. It would be nice, if professionals in public and private sector will have/ would like to have further education on their career as well.
