Hi all can someone help me.. I am having Partial Phimosis.. Last yr I suffered from Paraphimosis as well.. Now my marriage got scheduled in June 20th.. Doctor advised u can try with condoms if problem comes u can go for circumcision.. But many are recommending to go for circumcision.. Please advise whether or not to go for circumcision.. If so whether before marriage or after marriage.. Can I be able to participate in Sex right after my marriage if I undergo surgery around May 10-15.. Just need some help from guys who cured and things to keep in mind during recovery process..

All guys heal at different rates but generally, assuming all goes well, sexual activity is not recommended before 6 weeks. Even then care must be taken not to harm new skin at scar site. Can you not discuss timing with your fiancé?

Timing in the sense before or after marriage?? Here ppl were not that informed of these things and if I would tell this they might think of a bigger problem.. So what do u suggest

in reply toAnnooss

It really is for you to decide. Either way your future wife is likely to get to know about it.

My prob is that I don't want to spoil 1st night after marriage.. Confused whether to clear this before marriage or manage few days after marriage with condoms and then go for circumcision..

Well, There are millions of man with partial phimosis among us. They can live their life cycle happily with it. You are getting married soon. I understand that pre-marital sex is not common in your culture.

But do (you) remember sex is more than just penetrative intercourse. There will be "dry" period after circumcision anyway. You know now how your penis "works". Situation is quite different after circumcision. If you can clean up yourself down there, I'd rather wait and talk with your soon to be wife first (after marriage), if there are issues with intercourse with her.

You can still show your condition to a doctor pre-marriage like suggested.

Thanks for reply bro.. So u suggest to see if I get any problems after marriage and then take decision.. My only worry of waiting is reoccurrence of Paraphimosis.. And one more question due u think a guy with history of Paraphimosis and Partial Phimosis can lead happy sex life without circumcision..

Yes. I think it's your call now. You can still show your condition to a doctor pre-marriage like suggested. I think a person with partial phimosis can lead happy sex life without circumcision, but paraphimosis is different thing. Have you ever tried any stretching method earlier?

In my case four weeks was not enough for healing. It took more than two months, but like it was said. We all heal individually at different rate.

Yaa the doctor who treated me for Paraphimosis told to try with condoms intially if I feel any trouble during sex if so we would go for circumcision.. But all other doctors whom I consulted through call suggested circumcision and even said condoms doesn't help in keeping skin intact.. I have tried stretching recently for 2 weeks and stopped.. Does it helps really..

Stretching should be done 3-4 times per day, 2-3 min each time. What is does is to break the bonds between the cells to encourage division. Allowing too much time between sessions triggers a healing process and causes skin to revert to former tightness. Frequent tension prevents reversion.

In my opinion, show your condition to a doctor. Doctor will operate only if it is really necessary.

The one who treated Paraphimosis told me to see if get any problem during sex so that circumcision can be done.. All other doctors when I address them my issue told circumcision is necessary.. But to try sex I'm afraid of re occurance of Paraphimosis..

Then you should go for it. It is not a thumb rule to fuck as soon as you marry. Start sex after you are completely good.

And talking about healing period, .....look buddy....., each and every person is different in healing. Some guys heal early (having good immunity) , and some heals late .

There's no surety about it.

Go for it means for marriage and later circumcision or circumcision then marriage..

Paraphimosis can become a medical emergency. Stretching sometimes works but can make much worse as it creates microtears and scarring which doesnt stretch. Circumcision is your best option and my personal experience is that it made sex much better. In terms of timing you cannot have sex for 6 weeks after. Is there any way you could have the surgery moved forward? The first time using your new penis would be a fitting way to start your marriage but you need to make sure its fully healed.

How much time u took to resume back to sex brother.. And how was it for 1st time after circum.. Is it painful??

Like it has been said before, healing depends on each person. it took about 4 weeks form me to actually have sex (intercourse) I did it for her more than anything, sex was not very good after circ but I satisfied her. but bro, communication is very important, say if it is stressing you it must be. You need to tell your fiancé what issues you are having and open up, if she needs to see it show it. this conversation needs to be between you two. bring her with you when you go see your doctor and they could both see what option is better for you. in the end you must make that decision. it is your body.

Hi Annooss

I have provided a number of links below that might help you.

Take a look at this website about foreskin stretching rings

phimocure.net

You can also look at this NHS webpage about phimosis and treatment for it

nhs.uk/conditions/phimosis/

I would not advise circumcision because of the risks involved. Ensure you have read the risk section from the below website

nhs.uk/conditions/circumcis...

Let me know what you think.

in reply toJas9777

Yes, especially note first sentence of Risks that says complications are rare.

I’m merely putting your excellent information from NHS into context vis-a-vis risks as you have a clear bias which is misleading. For the record, I seem to recall reading somewhere that the complication rate is something like 1 in 50 so not high risk.

FYI I’m absolutely not self conscious and circumcision has affected me in a very positive way, it has effectively cured a chronic condition and improved my self esteem. I’ve also not suffered any UTI, bladder or kidney infections since my operation which, as a kidney patient, is an unforeseen but welcome bonus. It worked for me and I’m first to say it’s not for everyone however it’s ultimately the patient’s decision and not yours or mine.

Go for it right away. You will not regret and enjoy it from day 1 after getting married!

my roomie also having partial phimosis, but he enjoy sex life without circumcision. after marriage for the first time he use condom for intercourse and then he tried without condom, but while trying without condom it makes pain for particular period ( a month) then it should be normal.

i am completed the stapler circumcision process, three weeks before. still it is not cured as everyone said we have to wait for 6 week i think to do masturbation or sex after circumcision

i am 25 now, still i have two more years to be married. so far, i done with circumcision.

ask ur partner regarding surgery after marriage, she has to wait 6 to 8 weeks without sex and 4 weeks without foreplay too, because erection for first 4 weeks is also affect the healing rate
