How to know if you can have sex?

Hello everyone, I got circumcised exactly 40 days ago so in two days it’s going to be 6 weeks. The wound has healed no stitches left, swelling is minimal, no pain, and the glans is not that sensitive. The question is tho, how would I know if I’m able to have sex now? I can’t ask my doctor because we live far away and I can’t take days off at this point. I know that online it says you should be able to have sex in 6 weeks but are there any other indicators? Thank you!

Honestly everyone’s recovery is different. I had a 1 week in office follow up with my urologist and after I would email my doctor about how my recovery was going. Based on my recovery he recommended I wait until 8 weeks. If you can’t go into the office you can try to call the office and have your doctor call you back over the phone or email the office, just to be sure.

What I have been doing in masturbating. If that feels good and you don’t have any discomfort then perhaps you may be ready. I would wait until after 8 weeks though to be safe!
