Can you still have good sex when you have phimosis?

My foreskin doesn't retract properly over my glans, with the result that my glans is over-sensitive and painful to touch unless protected in plenty of oil or lube. Is anybody in the same boat here who can advise me on how to take the discomfort out of my sex life? Or should I see a doctor?

Your penis is too important to you to leave probems to chance.

You need to see your doctor as soon as possible since phimosis (tight foreskin) will not cure itself and an over-sensitive glans will painful and give a poor sex life.

Yup, this was my issue. Although I got use to having sex with condoms, my glans was still hyper sensitive. I could not have rougher sex.

One of the reasons I chose to get circumcised is to desensitize my glans. I was happy to read that sensory goes down 80%. I feel like mine is way too sensitive.

I honestly didn't have a problem with being uncircumcised, but the phimosis and sensitive glans was the torture.

Maybe it is because of age and type 2 diabetes, but once in a while i will get a little sore on the foreskin also which was super annoying. Now that it is gone, I don't have to worry about infection and I don't feel that pain.

I had the same issue and i'd highly recommend getting it checked out. I got cut recently and I already feel way more confident

Did you try stretching first? That's the first step. Stretching every day with a cortisone cream.

I did not as when my urologist saw it he said stretching would not be possible as it is scared

I don’t understand. I went on your profile and the day before you sent this, you sent another post where you replied to a comment mentioning you were circumcised as a baby...

Hi. To whom are you referring?

in reply to

He is referring to Lekker1. I noticed the same thing.

in reply to

lekker1 Are you saying that you have phimosis on your penis which was circumcised as a baby?

in reply to

I don’t believe he knows whether or not he’s actually circumcised as he talks about having a completely covered glans on his ‘circumcised’ penis then asks if he should be circumcised. A bit strange.

The people on here are obsessed with penises, which sucks. Thought it was a medical forum but most people have some sort of fetish for dicks on here.

in reply to CuriousQ

As a penis health forum, I would be surprised if all the posts were not about penises.

It is but many guys here seem to only want to talk about penises for fun or look at dick pics, not actually discuss health issues.

We try our best to keep the forum on track but it needs the members to support that and play their part. It is an ongoing work.

I must confess I'm still quite ignorant about my own male anatomy, at least beyond the rough sketches taught to me in sex ed at school. In fact, I must have learnt more this past week than I ever did about it at school!

Also, I'm not here to joke around, this is a physical condition that has been worrying me a lot. Spoke to my doctor about it and it's straightforward to correct though. Thanks to all those who have made useful, constructive comments here. Now I'll just sit back, relax and joyfully await the operation.
