So i had circ 6 days ago due to phimosis (19y.)Been going around the house completely naked due to hypersensitivity. the thing is today as i was sitting on my pc i felt a sharp pain and the bleedin was pretty bad around 1 stitch. it finally stopped after a cold shower. Also i noticed a part of my glans on the left side ( not the frenulum) is dried up and yellow( like crust) does anyone know how to solve this or what might be the cause.

peace <3

Bleeding on first week is not uncommon. Have you used any supportive element on incision line? Bandage with petroleum jelly?

Yellowish cover could be your own skin. Sometimes it will peel off on glans after operation. The colour could be also a remnant of betadine wash in operation theatre.

the first few days i used a bandage with some betadin and a numbing cream. Later on i found out that going freeball is better so i kept using only betadine just on the stitches. Only problem is that the yellow mark isnt smooth and it is on a specific spot.

S2BC has answered you on point . Bleeding is quite common and it can last uptill 3rd week in small amounts . Since you are quite early , it seems you have bled quite a bit . The next time this occurs staunch the bleeding and don't allow further bleeding . Also only small bleeds are common , larger ones need attention.

Crusting is very very very normal and over time it will drop off. It is most likely lymph that has crusted or it can just be skin discoloration due to betadine like S2BC has said . No worries about that . Keep the area dry and clean . Also you might want to keep the freshly bled area under clean gauze for some days to prevent infection. Also let your doctor know as he might suggest an antibacterial powder or antibiotic course if necessary . Just a call to him would do in my opinion .

All the best !

you guys make this community great. I will contact my doctor this afternoon just to be sure but since i can not visit him due to hypersensitivity i will have to take your and his word on the case. I also wanted to note that i tried removing the crust with steady water pressure and nothing happened. nevertheless Thank you guys

Glad to help ! Hypersensitivity will decrease with contact so domt avoid the constant contact with clothes or clean hands during bathing . That was lucky of you ! A word of caution though , some crusting may be firm and involve the superficial layer of skin below . So if in case you develop scabs or crust later on , just be cautious and careful !I had an awful experience with that ! All the best !!

hope this is not my case. As for sensitivity i am putting steady goals to hit each couple of days like wearing a dress like piece of clothing ad moving around a bit etc. next weak i will try some baggy shorts with no underwear and in about a month or so underwear. what do u mean by the term superficial skin?

in reply toJustAstranger

Scabs are part of the healing process and protect the new skin that is developing underneath. It is very tempting to try to remove the scabs but in doing so you remove one of your body’s protective processes. If left alone, they will come off themselves. Take care.

So generally scabbing/crusts are adherent to whatever surface that they form on . So trying to peel them might cause a tear or pinpoint haemorrhage of the top layer of the penis surface if it occurs. So just be cautious and in my opinion I wouldn't pick or even touch the scabs. I would clean them normally with the soap and water though . Also dry the whole area and keep it dry and clean . All the best !

Full head and tight boxers? I mean the urethra area is the problem and i am not so sure if applying vaseline there would be ideal

You are doing well mate. Just keep it clean and dry and use Vaseline on your penis. If you are no longer using bandages I suggest you put a fresh bandage on or gauze on that area and change it twice a day just keep it clean until it’s healed enough when you can stop using bandages etc. I’m on day 11 and I’ve noticed improvements using gauzes etc. Any medical concerns you have I suggest you contact your doctor.

Also if your doctor has prescribed you cream I suggest you apply it to the area usually for a week. But only do as your doctor has advised you. Follow the aftercare info and you will get through it.

Good luck on your recovery all the best

A small amount of leakage and bleeding is probably good as it means the fluid is able to drain instead of building up and causing swelling. How many stitches do you have? A lower count means a more ‘open’ wound and some surgeons now believe this helps with healing

Pretty much everyone hit on your pts. My only recommendation try to wear some underwear from time to time. On my day 8 I had to go to doctor for followup and thought how but wasn't bad. Def want wear tighter underwear and loose pants. It will help in long run bc help get ur body use to sensitivity. Don't over do it but like maybe 1 hr or 2 a day.
