Hi there everybody! Recently I got myself circumcised due to some medical issues. That was exactly two weeks ago and I have some questions for people who have gone through this as adults (I’m 19 btw). How long did it take for you stitches to dissolve/fall off, I have dissolvable stitches and they are starting to come loose so does that mean they are getting ready to fall off? Also my biggest question is when the stitches fall out do the erections stop hurting so much? I find when I get an erection it feels very tight and even painful because it’s pulling at the stitches, I’m usually 7 inches but the Circumcision has made me about 5-6 inches now, will this go back to normal when the swelling and wounds heal completely?

Hey man, I’m about 3 months in. All of my stitches fell out around the 3 week period. Erections don’t hurt after they fall out but I did feel a little bit of tightness when I got one. It’s not painful though. It all depends on the type of cut you got so I can’t tell you for sure what to expect. As for the size I did notice it got a little smaller, but I’m not sure. I should’ve measured beforehand. Ive read others go through this and they say as time passes and it heals it will go back to its regular size. Good luck!

So would you say you are fully healed now? Also are the erections still feeling very tight or all back to normal?

I’m not fully healed yet as my glans is still very sensitive. I had phimosis and balanitis so I kinda had to get circumcised. Everyone heals at their own pace though so you might feel better a lot faster than me. Erections don’t feel very tight, I just feel a small amount of tightness, nothing uncomfortable.

A teen or adult circumcision takes 6-8 weeks to fully heal and even then some swelling may continue for a while. At 2 week in, you still have a long way to go!

Stitches will have done their job in the first 10-12 days and should fall out or be removed after 14 days to avoid 'stitch tunnels' forming. You will also be much more comfortable once they are all out.

Erections cannot full on stitches that are no longer there! So they will be more comfortable.

Don't worry about the apparent loss of length. The swelling changes the shape of your penis and some length has to be sacrificed to increased girth. Once the healing is complete, you should be back to your normal natural length since nothing has been done to shorten the penis (other than remove the irrelevant overhang).
