Post circumcision - hard lump under the shaft skin -

I’m 15 days post circumcision and things are going okay! Some of the stitches are dissolving and I’m pretty happy

On the underside of my penis though some stitches came loose a bit and it’s not infected but taking much longer to heal with some bleeding from time to time! I got an ointment from my regular doctor to apply! So just resting it and not massaging the area (was advised to do so to avoid scar tissue)

Today I did feel a hard lump - almost like cartilage - beneath the skin (on the shaft) and below the incision and stitches! I read the other posts on here and most seem to say it might occur from doctors sealing off a vein - and that it goes away etc!

Does anyone have any input on this please and thank you!

What a coincidence, I just asked the same question. Check my post, I'm in the same situation, only that I feel the lump on top

Ha! Indeed we seem to be in the same boat man! I was told it’s most likely scar tissue and to try and massage it gently! Hoping it’s nothing permanent or at least won’t hurt or cause complications later or affect sex

In the same boat since 10 years, yes our bad that it's permanent Untill we got it removed. Also I had other issues with that. Dm

I had several of these lumps under the skin from veins probably. I was worried but it’s been 50 days since my surgery and they are completely gone now. I never massaged them.

I had similar hard lumps in multiple spots. As you also mentioned, because of sealed off veins. I am on week 7, everything is almost completely dissolved. I did not apply anything, just gave enough rest.

The main lesson I learned "don't worry, don't look at it more than 2x a day, relax and do something nice". It is going to be nice and functional very soon! 😉. Good luck with recovery!

Thanks Man - and yeah great advice - looking at it is what tends to drive you nuts after a while! I’m glad everything went well with yours and appreciate the feedback on the lump! I’ll relax and take it one day at a time

I am on day 14 after circumcision and I have one bump where i have a big vein. All the penis is getting less and less swollen and looks pretty good, also the nurse said that it is going well but I am worried about the bump because it feels hard if I touch it and I am afraid it will not get less. Was your bump also hard an thick?

The lumps are stitches/sutures that were put on the cut veins/arteries to stop them from bleeding during your operation. They desolve and disappear as the scar heals. I had them too

Heyy I think I have the same problem as yoursI'm on day 6 of my circumcision

I wanted to ask if when the lump started was it really sensitive and did it make your skin stretch

I'm about a week past my circumcision surgery and noticed the "cartilage". Terrified me beyond belief because Googling gave me "cysts", "leftover skin" and a few other causes that needed to be corrected with surgery... Really glad that it's not something to worry about.
