Pain after 8 months after circumcision

So I've made a few posts on here before and it's been a few months. I've been using a steroid cream for the past 3 weeks and today after massaging my scar it's started to feel pretty sore in an area where the scar is still thick, raised and with one part having a thick white patch that goes across the scar line. I've seen some reduction in swelling since I started using the cream but I still can't use my penis even for self stimulation without it causing pain. It's absolutely ruined my mental health and I'm struggling with it. Has anyone else felt pain more than discomfort after 8 months with still some persistent swelling?

I would certainly have a doctor look at your scar. If it is causing pain, there may be a further surgical option to deal with what sounds like excess scarring.
